  1. Was going to say 'dunno but Im surprised the ferries were running in that fog'!
  2. Tell im to pull his socks up,no one is going to stop & give him a lift looking like that!
  3. Realy anything from£95-£120,with your own saws & climb kit, with rigging or big saws more. If you have regular work think long and hard about a change in the next couple of years, things may get tougher for a while.
  4. Good luck with that, looks a mare of a job. I would advise plenty of tea & biscuits!
  5. Thats about the long & short of it. We can help the HC's by removing & destroying the fallen leaves, and agood mulch around them helps with compaction problems. It has been sugested that fresh prunus chippings(high in sugar about now)make a beneficial mulch.I have used these cheap & easy methods for a few years on affected trees at one loication(regular client),and for the first season in 3 years they are bearing good sized conkers, the leaves now are only slightly affected by the miner. I do wonder if anything is feasting on the miner, having had a few years to adapt but that may be just speculation. I am no authority on this, just my observations .
  6. Great pics, the terrier is one of the nicest looking I have seen.
  7. Pm me your number if you want, got a one or two mildly interesting jobs brewing, maldon based, have a natter & see if it can work for us. Geoff.
  8. never going to get these features, but the last bit, couldn't you just teach your groundy new skills?!!
  9. I seeded a few apple trees last year, any Ideas how long they take to germinate?
  10. Great pics, this is an interesting thread methinks,
  11. Reduces the amount of chips, but more of a pain to walk through, cut the level & then get the sides & top edges as neat as you can.

    Ebay 070 stihl

Found this, may interest someone. STIHL 070 CHAINSAW 36" LONG BAR (RRP. £1400) NEW on eBay (end time 29-Aug-10 18:40:11 BST)
  13. Very good work in photoshop, realy emphasises the drama in the composition.
  14. I already guessed that one, hope he has 2 hats if we win!!!
  15. No double guessing either!
  16. They are alright i supose, passes the time!!!
  17. 3.45 ton as long as no cakey bunns for lunch!
  18. £1300 for a dodgy ash, and I was too cheep!
  19. I would have thought you would be pleasantly surprised with either of them. A client I have uses a stihl electric saw,and is very happy with it.I would contemplate using some form of circuit breaker,as with any electric garden equipment.
