  1. It is true that many of the traditional and rural jobs have gone to the machine, but there are a lot of jobs that have been created by this massive (in comparison to old times) infrastructure so many live in,modern society/towns. Example,in victorian times they threw their houshold litter & 'night soil' into holes dug for the purpose,or scattered it on the fields. We produce far greater amounts of rubbish, and there is a massive industry in it's disposal & procesing.
  2. Ouch ! look after it,the bleeding will help the initial clean .
  3. Heres one that had to go,and an after pic, sorry to err from thread a bit!
  4. Honestly Liam,thats NOT ME !!
  5. Heres a little wingnut, the only one of four we could save, the rest had to be removed as deemed a hazard to playground. had to get this one out of the coms wire, and raise it to keep the kids from playing tarzan, there was a fair bit of dead in this, and I dont think its going to last more than a couple of years, compaction, canker etc.
  6. Supersonic mate,nice job!
  7. She's a handy old tool with a 3 in 1 bucket.
  8. I'm easy going with clients dragging out payment, but plain trying to bluff their way out of it, as this lady seems to be after, is despicable.

  21. :thumbup1:Nice camera Dean, look forward to some pics!
  22. Seen these a few times, they smell like rotting flesh from a good few feet.
  23. Yes good list,I would forget about the steel cored flipline, and maybe look at getting a 20 metre length of climbing line as well as the one you already have on your list, that way you can climb with your lad to keep an eye on him. Be aware of the panic drop if someone holds onto or above a prussic knot, starts decending and panic grips the line or knot, dissabling the prussic.

    Wasp nest !

I got stung by one,I dont get affected by normal wasps& bees, within 5 minutes I was itching heavily all over, chest & larynx pain, headache, severe rash all over etc,not nice! They love to nest in shrubs bushes & low in trees, the nests are dificult to see,and they will go for you if you disturb or knock the nest. We should be aware of them,as they nest in places where our trade will bring us into their habitat, often without us seeing them before they get all buzzed up. Heres a pic of this one,I had pruned above it on this wingnut, thats when it became visible .
  25. Me too, used it in my little top handle echo tes 270,and it runs a treat, its expensive, but good.
