  1. Yep a ha ha is a ditch with a retaining wall,sounds like the limes are breaking up the wall.
  2. If the fuel lines & fuel filter prove ok,strip &clean the carb,maybe new diaphrams,that should sort it.
  3. You may also get a deal at a static caravan site,or chalet park,once down there you will find something more suitable,good luck & enjoy the work,its a nice area!

  9. Can't help you mate, but have you considered a touring caravan,pleanty of campsites down that way,spend a grand on a trailer(you can resell when done),and you dont have to tolerate or be tolerated by a smelly arb host!

  11. The cattle wouldn't be causing part of the root problem would they Stevie,either by compaction urea or good old cow pats,you know how they like to congregate in the shade & scratch their *rs^s.

Obviosly as you say they are 'unsightly' your remit is to retain the trees. take the tension off the encircling bands after removing the cage uprights,the later maybe with bolt croppers to avoid the potential of trapping a disc,and gives you more distance from them if they go 'ping'. On the bands themselves,maybe a 4inch grinder to allow better access to the iron and minimising damage to the trees, you might need a 240 genny to use the small grinder,but hey,take a kettle & tea bags too!

  18. Yep,start at the rad clean & main hoses if the thermostat opens fully.

  20. I agree with Mozza,can you just pay for a new assesment on the one you failed (cs31),I seem to recall that you can....Just checked with NPTC,and you can retake the assesment without further training,way to go mate!
