Hi mate,

After searching various Norway related posts, your name kept popping up. So I wanted to ask for some information and advice.

I am moving to Stavanger in Norway for at least three months this summer (heading out mid june). I am moving to Stavanger because I have accommodation sorted there (girlfriend's parents <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/thumbdown.gif.09a24edc84304f2edac2dcbedcc94263.gif" alt="" />)

Im a climber and consultant with approximately 3/4 years experience. I have the usual tickets and an Honors Degree in Arboriculture.

Do you have or know of any useful contacts in the Stavanger area?

Are there any obvious differences between the Arb scene in the UK and Norway?

Finally,

Whats the word for Arborist in Norwegian???

Im absolutely grateful for any info on the matter.

Regards,

Joel Ashton

  4. What is this bowl made from?

    I'd agree with that
  5. Leaves

    Just fell the tree :-)
  6. biggest bar for a Husky 390xp

Petemate390xp is another good guy to speak to, he's got a 42 inch on his super modded 390 :-)
  7. biggest bar for a Husky 390xp

Your local dealer is a goon, it's listed up to 28 inch on every site selling them, I had 28 on mine, it pulls it awesomely. You can go 32 too, on 3/8's chain but I never got round to trying it.
  8. That's fantastic, plus if you ever run low on firewood you can just whip a few bits off the ends.
  9. Hot-Rod Pickup! (for tree work)

    That's mint
  10. Which new boots?

How long did the £240's last, is the question? Zermatts last a LONG time
  11. Kwikchip 222

The 222 is in my top 3 tow behinds I've ever used. Loved the one I used to use. That was a none turbo and I didn't think it needed one, it was awesome!
  12. Gloria - keep or sell?

I wish I had a wee chipper today. This is the access, everything's being dragged out, then the chip is being barrowed back in. Gutted haha
  13. Iconic saw collection

    076 gets my vote.
  14. GRCS anygood

Yes mate, loads better. I used a Hobbs for a couple of years. The GRCS beats it hands down,
