  1. I also played today. Wish I had Greg Normans talent. Even if he only has one hand, he'd still beat me. Never mind, There's always next week!!!!
  2. I have the chance to but an avant 320. This is the skid steer version. Ive never driven a skid steer. Has anyone used this model ? What's it like to drive compared to the other avants
  3. Berlin: the downfall, 1945 by Anthony beever. Pretty interesting book about the Russian onslaught on Berlin at the end of ww2
  4. You won't be the first or the last to do that. Never cut myself yet, but have had a number of near misses over the years. We'll done for posting.
  5. What's been wrong with your old entec. Mine's always gone really well, apart from the odd little niggle here and there. Have no plans to change it.
  6. I'm not sure but I think pezzolato are rebranded over here as arbor eater. Stand to be corrected though.
  7. It does have an arbor eater look about it. If it is, you will need all the luck in the world. Mine was also absolute rubbish.
  8. Concerning this country, is there any wonder it's overpopulated. I personally don't believe there should be any child benefit payments, or incentives to have children. Why should the government subsidise you to have children? Surely, you should only be having kids if YOU and not the government can support them.
  9. I went vat registered by choice a few years ago now, and have absolutely no regrets at all. I find the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
  10. Personally, I would never dream of taking pictures of someone else's work and putting it on the internet, to try and hinder them trading. I would take a lot more pleasure in putting my work on the internet, in an effort to promote my work. Just my opinion though.
  11. You will never stop them. Forget about them. There are cowboys in every trade. Concentrate on doing a professional job yourself, and business wise you should be ok.
  12. I had to have a new one a couple of years ago. Was about £300 including fitting if I remember. To be honest, I would not like to use mine without the no stress. Save yourself the hassle and get one fitted properly, unless you know a bit about chippers.
  13. You might find that a top on the chip box stops this happening. Works for me.
  14. Ignore some of the previous posts. I have a 2001 entec and it chips like a dream. Why replace a machine, if it's still doing a good job.
  15. Look at the buds on branches. Some are opposite (ash, maple) etc. some are alternate ( oak, beech) etc. knowing which species are opposite and which are alternate is a simple guide to some species identification. For example, dogwood and willow.
  16. Long live rock and roll, said the late great ronnie James dio. No idea what it's got to do with a kindling machine. But if you've never listened to ronnie, you need to
  17. Thanks, can you tell me where the forward latching relay is?
  18. The no stress works and comes in when it should. The rollers stop, but will not go again by themselves. So each time the no stress comes in, you have to press the indeed roller button to get them going again. Suspect problem is electrical, but any help appreciated
  19. That may be true. Mine was a 2001 model
  20. There are 2 grease nipples. One on each roller. Undo the plastic roller cover and take a look. If it has not got a no stress unit, then take it to a timberwolf dealer and get one fitted. Probably cost you around the £300 to 350 mark, but we'll worth it
  21. Make sure that annoying stihl oil cap in on correctly before you send up the saw. Learn how to wrap and unwrap ropes correctly. Don't leave the key in the chipper before you set off home. You might not find it again. Don't use bungee cord for attaching ladders. Dangerous for your eyes and nearby parked Porsche Try to keep calm. If your worked up, your a lot more likely to make a mistake. Always double check that you have everything before you set off to work. Never plug in an angle grinder with the grinder held against you. It might just start up. Don't think you have done the hardest part of the job, and it's all plain sailing from now on, it may just come back to haunt you.
  22. It's all to do with asulux being banned by EU. Something to do with its use on spinach I think. This had an impact on the uk, as asulux is by far the best way to control bracken. Therefore, it is legal to use for bracken control only, and within certain dates. Somewhere between May and October, roughly.
  23. Sorry, to disappoint, but the wetter might come in useful.
  24. I'd keep quite about that dean, as your customer probably shouldn't have hold of the chemical, unless he just got it within the last few days. It should be used up or handed back to supplier by October 2014. Also, if it's way out of date, don't bother applying it, as it does not work efficiently, anyway. Could be wrong, but I think that's how things stand with asulux at the moment.
