  1. The muppets didn't get elected with the left oriented milliband, so the go further to the left. Total disaster for that party, but a blessing for the UK, as he's totally unelectable.
  2. Totally agree with you. Best thing that could have happened. Hopefully no more labour for quite a while.
  3. Always tastes ok to me!!!!
  4. Seems to me NZ has it sorted. No subsidies and cheaper lamb. Well done to them. Perhaps we could learn something of them?
  5. I could be wrong, but I always thought it was 100 to 1 mix before 2012, for spot spraying.
  6. I got one about a month ago. Used it once for a few stumps. Did the job well. Light to move about. Still early, but can't fault it yet.
  7. I think if you are 50 or over you can be tested annually. I'm 45, but getting test was no problem
  8. I've had prostate type symptoms for years now. I've had 2 PSA tests over the last 6 years. One only last week. Both were normal so was THE examination, and blood tests. Feel relieved now. If anyone out there has symptoms, go and see your doctor. its not just an old man's illness.
  9. Sheep love asulox. I spend most of August spraying bracken on the moor's. I've done it for the past 15 years or so. I always use a blue dye to see where I've been. The sheep lick the salt in the asulox, and end up with blue nose's. God knows what it does to them, but never seen one dead yet.
  10. Asulox. It's the only really effective one. Will need repeat application next year and perhaps for a few more years.
  11. The only border I mention is the Syrian border. So, naturally, im talking about that. Especially the Golan heights. An area seized by Israel after the 6 day war. Naturally, the Syrians want it back. Israel would have reluctantly offered it back in return for a peace agreement. Something which the Syrians would not agree to. The heights were used by Syria to shell Israel from the 1940's to the 1960's due to its strategic position.
  12. I don't know where you find your information? Syria still disputes the border. Would you feel safe with them nutters on your doorstep. Unless, of course you read tommer9's original post. The peace treaty with Egypt has worked. But, That part of the world is so unstable, all of its neighbours would combine if they think they could beat Israel. Don't forget, hitler and Stalin once had a non aggression pact
  13. I've taken the time to do a bit of research on the centre for research on globalisation. I've also read some of the articles quoted by Tommer. The professor who established the organisation was at one time described as 'one of the nuttiest professors in Canada' The 'propaganda reigns in the west" article was written by Dr paul Craig Roberts. Someone who thinks Putin is a credit to the human race. Someone who thinks 9/11 was a conspiracy, and someone who thinks the Charlie hebdo attack in France was set up by the US Most of the other quoted articles are from conspiracy theorists etc. people who believe everything is a set-up. Reading the articles yourselves and Googling the authors will allow you to draw your own conclusions.
  14. Israel is surrounded by enemies who would like that country removed from the face of the earth. It has to be strong. Any sign of weakness would lead to its downfall.
  15. The original one is out of stock for a few weeks. I rang up yesterday.
  16. It is against another limited company. Hasn't got that far yet. Just feeling things out
  17. That's really why I thought I'd see if anyone could recommend a firm
  18. Has anybody used one? Were they successful? Could anyone recommend any?
  19. Late Victorian coconut crusher. Probably made about 1895 in Sheffield. Used to crush imported coconuts to access the milk.
  20. That's just happened to my mate's. Had to have a new engine in.
  21. I keep a couple in the van all the time. Very useful, especially when ringing up elm etc. don't buy cheap. Go for at least P2, better still, P3 ones. Better being safe than sorry
  22. How many of these 'how much to quote' threads has there been over the years????. There seems to be one every day or so. Had anybody ever learned anything from them? Each person would probably charge differently even if they saw the job, never mind trying to come to a price with just a few words to go on. Sorry to be so negative. Perhaps, I'm wrong?
  23. Classic!!!
  24. Just got back from 4 days golfing in and around Glasgow.
  25. I run mine on an old 372. Don't both pulling large trees over with it. Stick with the Tirfor, and get rid of any wire rope. I run mine on dyneema rope, avoiding kinking. Otherwise, a very handy piece of kit.
