  1. I was just wondering what would happen if the worst came to the worst. If you take a look at the back of the pocket (bit confusing as photo is upside down) you can see where the metal has come away. Am guessing it is weldable
  2. Yes, your probably right. Welded and bolted. So, how do you change them?
  3. I've taken a photo of the pocket Chris. But it's upside down (bloody iPad) let me know what you think
  4. Mines defiantly bolted. Can feel the bolts at back of flywheel. Can also see the outside bolt. Don't forget that mine is a late entec. May 2001 and is younger than some of the first timberwolf so. Was wondering if they are the same as present day timberwolf pockets
  5. Was wondering, are entec blade pockets replaceable. It is bolt on. If so, is it the same as timberwolf ones. The chipper is a 2001 entec ch25
  6. It shouldn't make any difference. Stumps are rarely to be found on the fairways. And I've never seen one on a green yet. Keep to the rough where possible.
  7. I rest mine on the steering wheel of the van. Have done this for 20 years. Ideal if you've only a 20" bar or less. Does take bits out of the steering wheel, but what the hell, it's an old van anyway. Really comfortable, as you do it sat in the seat.

  9. I don't find the product too small. The one I have produces what I would describe as kindling, and or very small logs. It will be marketed as kindling, not logs. I thought about separating thicker and thinner bits and bagging logs and kindling, but in practice it's a bit of a pain.
  10. I was lucky. Got a £1000 grant from my local district council, when I bought mine. Used it all day today on fairly straight ash.
  11. I'm storing the bags with a view to selling next year. Not got to the stage of burning on my own stove yet. Still too wet

  13. I bought one just before Xmas. Slower than the chipper, but at end of day you have a saleable item. No good for leylandii etc. Instead of chip, I got 38 bags of a smallish sycamore. Am using it tomorrow on ash. Not a full time replacement for the chipper, but a useful item

  15. My nan, who would have been 116 this year, made the most amazing homemade bread. She delivered a loaf of white and a loaf of brown every Wednesday. By far, the best bread I've ever tasted. Far superior to a breadmaker.
  16. I paid £70 at auction for mine. Came with about 50m of rope. About 15 years ago. Best £70 I ever spent
  17. Haven't seen blue sky for about two months. Soaked this morning on slippery sycamore. Managed ok. Then it dried up, got colder and the wind got up. To be honest, it was easier working in the rain, than in the wind. Getting more and more sick of this weather. Worst rains I can remember. If it's too bad, then I just take the day off.
  18. Well I've found the problem. Like spud said, I'd got the manifold on back to front. Problem sorted. Well done that man.
  19. I've been on a couple. I like the informal cruises offered by Norwegian cruise lines. Eat when you want, with whoever you want. Been to Caribbean and canaries etc. Slept like a log, food stunning. Highly recommended. Don't stop off in Casablanca. It's a dump

  21. Thanks for taking the time to reply spud. I'll take a look tomorrow night and see if I can find the fault, based on what you've said.
  22. One thing I have noticed, is when I remove the fuel cap and Rev the blower, there are lots of bubbles coming through the fuel inside the tank, and it splashes out of the open top. Not sure if this is normal.

  24. There is no vent in the cap. I've put a new carb on with new gaskets. Put a new fuel filter and new tank vent on. I've checked the fuel likes and they are clean, with no leaks. The blower will rev up from cold, then the revs just slowly die off. If I open the fuel cap, then the thing runs ok. I'm wondering if the new fuel vent is faulty. Am I missing something else.
  25. I took a look at the fuel cap but could not find a vent in it. Is there one in a bg85?
