  1. Just had all my equipment marked with immobilise.com. Police came round and marked it all up for free. Think I was the first in our area to have it done. Hope it never gets nicked, but at least it's on the database.
  2. Sorry, thought you were talking about tree surgery, not timber contracting. Should have read up a bit better.
  3. I should say, the employee is part time and we can arrange his days to suit the weather. Like I said, I am lucky to have that arrangement.
  4. I guess I am lucky. I have one part time very understanding employee. And a son on apprenaship, who is about to start with me shortly. I arrange my days that week around the weather. I can see what your saying. However, doing a job in really bad conditions can cause extra work too. If people want to work in really wet and windy weather, it's up to them. I've done it myself, but I'm slowing down a bit now, and would rather potter about the garage, or get on with some paperwork.
  5. Weather is a pain. But if it's too bad, I just do it another day. It's not like your losing money or a job, just postponing it. Better to enjoy doing a job, than rush through a rainy day, getting ropes and trousers soaked. Just my opinion.
  6. I've had my entec timberwolf ch25 since about 2005. Never had a bearing go yet. And it gets quite a bit of use. It's a 2001 machine, so I'm guessing it's the original bearing. Is this a record?. No hour counter on it though
  7. I have a similar machine for sale on arbtrader. Branch logger. Turns branches into kindling/logs
  8. Defiantly never had that on my chipper. I wonder if yours was some sort of conversion or perhaps an experiment by the company????
  9. Rising damp
  10. I've never known any timberwolf or entec chippers that you can adjust the roller speed on. Could be wrong though. I've got wiring attached to the feed funnel (underneath)but that just effects the emergency stop bar. And on the top for the forward, stop and energancy stop button. No switch though. Mines entec ch25ph. May 2001
  11. I don't think you can control the roller speed. Least not on mine.

    Moles

Apparently, there are no moles in Ireland.
  13. Bearings seem OK.
  14. There's nothing stuck either side and the springs are ok. In fact, the springs are new. Probably been like that all the time.
  15. I'm just changing anvils on entec/ timberwolf ch25. I've taken the roller box out and noticed that I have about an half inch gap between the top roller blade edge and the bottom one, when they are at their nearest. Is this normal? I never noticed the gap distance before I took the rollers out.
  16. 'The world at war' never get sick of watching it.
  17. Very smart. I'll try and get some of mine after Xmas. Hope it looks as good as that.
  18. I've a 2001 model, exactly the same as that. One of the last entecs. Mines also still in daily use, and going to get a paint job over Xmas. Original yellow, not timberwolf orange, as you sometimes see them with.
  19. Also interested. What price are they?
  20. Just ordered moldex 7000 with p3 filters. I've always worn good quality disposable p3 masks. But, because of this thread, have gone for a half mask with replaceable filters. Look after you lungs. It's not like an eye, where you know immediately what damage is done. It can come back and haunt you years later.
  21. And a ww2 veteran, as well.
  22. When I think what I bought the saws for years ago, and what I got for them now, I can't complain. Might have to have a dig through the rest of my parts box and see what else I can find.
  23. No 550xp yet. You know me, keep things going
  24. Hi Chris. Sold all my old ms200's. For spares or repairs. Plus a load of ms200 parts. No good to me now, as I'm on ms201.
  25. Well, eBay has had a lot of bad press on here. So I was a bit dubious about selling a few old chainsaws and parts etc. Anyhow, I was happy with the price I got for all items, payment was prompt from all the buyers. All posted positive comments on the day of receiving items. Rather made my day, as I'd heard so much bad press, and not selling much, was a bit apprehensive.
