  1. Just signed a petition to get rid of the House of Lords and replace with an elected body. £300 a day for turning up and doing nothing, but try to keep awake. Waste of taxpayers money. Some of them turn up, collect their money, and have never spoken yet, despite being a member for years. Totally outdated system.
  2. Didn't you just tell Jonny walker that you don't deal in opinions, only in facts?????
  3. Speak to Tree Surgery Insurance. Found them quite good
  4. I hand painted it. Correct entec colour. 2 coats primer, and a couple of top coats.
  5. Here's mine. All painted up over Xmas. 2001 model. Been a great chipper. Never had a new rotor bearing in it since I bought it in 2005
  6. its not just Blair, who's still going on about it. Tim Farron is just as bad. Can't they understand that we knew exactly what we were voting for when we voted out? I know I did. OUT,OUT OUT. And the sooner the better.
  7. Price by job, not hourly rate. Will make more out of it
  8. To be honest Mark. It's in the news today, and recent posts by some were getting a bit heated. Thought I'd try to bring things back on track a little:001_rolleyes:
  9. Bercow's in trouble and facing a motion of no confidence. Perhaps he should have thought a bit about who he'd invited to address parliament in the past, and who he wouldn't allow to address the house in the future? He's supposed to be politically impartial.
  10. I'm quite glad she's back from her 'migraine'. Together with her master Corbyn, their doing a great job of keeping labour from getting back into power. Long may it continue.
  11. your not J R Hartley by any chance?
  12. Bercow. Bit of a hypocrite to say the least. In october 2014 he had the president of singapore to speak in Parliament. Male homosexuality is illegal in Sinagapore. In september 2012 he had the 'pleasure' to welcome the president of Indonesia to address parliament. despite their human rights records. Also invited communist Vietnam officials for tea at the speakers house, and booked it down to the taxpayer.
  13. Was using the saw yesterday reducing a conifer hedge, when she suddenly stopped. Noticed that a small twig had pulled the fuel pipe off. The new design might have a slight flaw in it, as it's quite easy for something to catch the pipe and pull it off. So if yours suddenly stops, might be an idea to check this pipe. Has anyone else had it happen?
  14. Not everyone has a low opinion of the police. Two came round to mark up my equipment. I found them very professional, friendly and offered plenty of free advice. Couldn't rate them highly enough
  15. Just had all my equipment marked with immobilise.com. Police came round and marked it all up for free. Think I was the first in our area to have it done. Hope it never gets nicked, but at least it's on the database.
  16. Sorry, thought you were talking about tree surgery, not timber contracting. Should have read up a bit better.
  17. I should say, the employee is part time and we can arrange his days to suit the weather. Like I said, I am lucky to have that arrangement.
  18. I guess I am lucky. I have one part time very understanding employee. And a son on apprenaship, who is about to start with me shortly. I arrange my days that week around the weather. I can see what your saying. However, doing a job in really bad conditions can cause extra work too. If people want to work in really wet and windy weather, it's up to them. I've done it myself, but I'm slowing down a bit now, and would rather potter about the garage, or get on with some paperwork.
  19. Weather is a pain. But if it's too bad, I just do it another day. It's not like your losing money or a job, just postponing it. Better to enjoy doing a job, than rush through a rainy day, getting ropes and trousers soaked. Just my opinion.
  20. I've had my entec timberwolf ch25 since about 2005. Never had a bearing go yet. And it gets quite a bit of use. It's a 2001 machine, so I'm guessing it's the original bearing. Is this a record?. No hour counter on it though
  21. I have a similar machine for sale on arbtrader. Branch logger. Turns branches into kindling/logs
  22. Defiantly never had that on my chipper. I wonder if yours was some sort of conversion or perhaps an experiment by the company????
  23. I've never known any timberwolf or entec chippers that you can adjust the roller speed on. Could be wrong though. I've got wiring attached to the feed funnel (underneath)but that just effects the emergency stop bar. And on the top for the forward, stop and energancy stop button. No switch though. Mines entec ch25ph. May 2001
  24. I don't think you can control the roller speed. Least not on mine.
