  1. I had same problem with a timberwolf. New axle cured it.
  2. Agreed: a great bit of British propaganda. Watched it as a kid, and again a few months ago.
  3. Agreed, takes me back to the 80's. Pre brushcutter days, when we used a sickle all the time. Wasps nests and all. Sickle blight was quite common in those days too!!!
  4. Can't really help with suggestions, but omeprazole really worked for me with my stomach ulcers. I got the helicobater results within 10 minutes of having camera down (negative) Ulcers were caused in my case by painkillers.
  5. Don't think I'll be renewing my CHAS this year. But if you do go ahead, fill in the forms yourself. Its not that hard. Don't waste £350
  6. You definitely are showing your age. I think monsters of rock, is the same as download, but stand to be corrected. Uriah Heep and UFO are still doing the business. Love heavy rock. Them guitar solo's just blow me away. Favorite bands include: UFO, Rainbow (with Ronnie James Dio) Sabbath (again, with Dio) MSG, Y&T Can't stand this modern metal. Think I'm showing my age too Long Live Rock N Roll
  7. Das Boot (excellent ww2 series) The Maltese Falcon (great oldie) like someone else said, the Swedish trilogy, girl with dragon tattoo films are great. world at war. Just about the best documentary series ever made. American Pie films are just up my street too
  8. I agree. My old ch25 chips and chips and chips. I'll buy another TW.
  9. As someone else said, read a book. I also play golf once a week in the summer months. Can totally forget about everything else in the world, when playing. Just come back from a 4 day golfing holiday, and never thought about work once.
  10. you can call your business what ever you want, and don't have to register it. If you want to become Ltd, then you do need to register with companies house. Don't over-complicate things. Decide on a business trading name, tell your accountant (if you have one) and get business cards, adverts, etc printed in that name. Simple, as that (I think)
  11. Used them in the mid 80's saw. Have not used one since. I'd certainly buy a bar/chain for it, as long as it's running ok. Was a great saw in its day
  12. About the authors. Red Pepper is a magazine of political rebellion and dissent, influenced by socialism, feminism and green politics. Need I say anymore. Left wing propaganda. Utter rubbish
  13. It's each to their own. I'd always be worried about sickness, lack of work etc., if I borrowed money. Furthermore, your usually paying more than if you bought something outright. I like the fact that if my chipper sits for a month, it doesn't cost me anything. just my own thoughts
  14. Don't take out a loan. Save up a while and buy a good quality second hand one. That's my advice
  15. Sabbath, with the late Ronnie James Dio on vocals. My ultimate band to see live, but never will.
  16. Re-spacing: a word I've hardly heard since the 1980's. Back then (to us) it meant the thinning of Sitka spruce. Trees were cut at the base and left, regardless of whether or not they fell to ground level. Stumps were treated with urea. Felling was basically the removal of weak trees, double stemmed trees etc.
  17. I'm glad she got re-elected. The consequences of a Michael Foot government in the 1983 election or a Neil Kinnock government in the next would have been horrifying. Why do you think the 1983 election was such a landslide victory
  18. A strong British leader, who always fought for this country's best interests. RIP Maggie
  19. Iv'e been thinking about getting one for years now to help unloading chip. Use loadhandler at the moment and it's pretty good. They do come up for sale a bit. There's one on Orbitkey vans website at the moment, but it's white and I hate white
  20. First thing I'd do is get a better book, such as a field guide to trees of Britain and Northern Europe, by Alan Mitchell. A bit outdated ( I presume) but great book
  21. You really should se a doctor. Anxiety can be a symptom of other diseases. They will probably do some blood tests. If they come back clean, then its definitely anxiety. I have suffered from it at times. Its under control at the moment, but I do get flare ups. I personally believe a lot of its to with your gene makeup. I'm very lucky to have a brilliant and understanding GP. I find keeping busy and keeping the mind occupied help a lot. I was at my worse when I had too much time to think. Yes, as someone else said, take a look at the stress thread on here.
  22. Thought I'd just introduce those of you who are interested to my 'non-tree' related web site. It's about the hunt class destroyer HMS Wensleydale. I've been researching the ship on and off for about 13 years now. I know it's a long shot, but if you know anyone who served on the ship, please let me know. HMS Wensleydale home page
