An eight inch chipper might suit you, but it would be too big and too heavy for a lot of people. I'd struggle to get over these Yorkshire hills with something like that on the back and a load of chips. I love my old entec. It's a 2001 machine and chips great all day, with very little trouble. No plans to change it.

Rock and Roll, yes. Heavy metal, No. Have seen Maiden before (excellent) Have seen journey 3 times before. Don't be put off by 'don't stop believing' these guys can really rock. Neal Schoen is one hell of a guitarist. Last time I saw them about 2 years ago the sound was really bad though. Saw them with Styx and foreigner who were both excellent. Also recomment seeing Rush who are also in the UK this year.

Decide which side of the tree to start on. Cover as much as you can from your anchor point, and get your groundsman to confirm with you that all looks ok after pruning. Gradually, move around the tree, and keep asking your groundsman. I good groundsman should be able to help you a lot. I take a small pole with a hook up with me. I find it aids moving about the tree. Very simplified, the first thing to go for is any dead, dying, crossing/rubbing and diseased limbs. If it's a light problen, then go for other branches and try to leave an even-looking crown However, this is not always possible, for example, you may find that a main limb is diseased, do you take it out and spoil the shape of the tree, or do you leave a potential threat. The answer to this will depend on a number of factors. Experience, a chat with your groundsman and a chat with the client will help. As far as percentages go, if the spec says remove 20%, I would guess about 20%. Nobody would really know if you'd taken 17% or 23%. Don't get too hung-up on exact percentages The main advice I'd give you is not to take your rope down until you and the client have taken a look and chat together. Pain in the neck if you have to go back up. I'm sure others on this forum will have more tips for you

You will need an accounting book. Your accountant will show you how to fill it in. Basically, you put all your receipts (work done) on one page and all your outgoings (expenses) on the other. Make your accountants work as easy as possible. Number all receipts so he can cross referance them in your accounting book.

Of course it's bad for you. It's a herbicide. iv'e read the results. Part of which are based on experiments with rats, which were fed food sprayed with Roundup. These rats showed higher signs of disease compared to controls. I'm sure if you fed rats food sprayed with household bleech or liquid air freshener, then the results would show higher rates of disease, than controls. I'm not qualified to say wether or not it should be banned, but if your using any chemicals, take the necessary safety precautions, to avoid any potential heath issues. I always go overboard with masks, gloves etc, but I'd rather do that than face the consequences.

Credit where it's due. Ordered my new husqvarna 123hd65 hedgetrimmer for the amazing price of £220 (including VAT and delivery) £183 excluding VAT. Delivery within 48 hours. Other dealers were wanting around £300 mark. The hedge trimmer is a direct replacement for another one of the same make and model. So now, I have spares for my new one.

Think the previous posts have summed it up. Blaming the government is always an easy answer. It was going to arrive here anyway.

Yes, I realise that the new one has a primer and the H and L screws that can only be turned half a turn. The older version has no primer and normal H and L screws, but will it fit and run ok?
