  1. worked all day in heavy rain. 'sick as a parrot', but glad it's done
  2. I locktighted them last week. Not used it since. With the stihl caps, I meant that they have come undone with me in the tree, not whilst filing up for another climber.
  3. To be honest the filler caps usually come un-done in thick 'leylandii type' trees when they get caught.
  4. I knew the stihl subject would come up, so why are the filler caps so annoying. My new 200t petrol can leak sometimes, and every 200t oil filler cap has a habit of falling off and emptying oil all over my leg. Much prefer threaded ones Only a slight niggle, i love my ms200 and 660 as much as my husqvarna's
  5. And why does the new 346 top cover take me ages to put back on after cleaning filter?
  6. Why can't they get the dogs to stop coming loose. iv'e had this on both 372's and a 346. Really annoying as if you don't notice in time it can sometimes catch the chain and blunt one side.
  7. Tommy Cooper: Was watching him on youtube last night. still makes me laugh now. a comic genius. If your too young to remember him, take at his repeats or on youtube
  8. Get yourself some good quality p3 facemasks. I use them when its windy and when ringing up timber. Not all the time, but if I notice dust, I put one on.
  9. It's happened once before to me. There had been a previous post on here about this problem. Sorry, but there's not a lot you can do.
  10. As the title says, have just got my 2004 L200 through MOT with no problems. But on the advisory notes, it mentions that their is a rear diff input seal leaking. It only seems to be a small leak, but is it going to get worse and how easy is it to replace?
  11. I can honestly say that I would NEVER borrow money or use finance to purchase any business equipment. I'd rather save up and do without until I can afford it. However, I understand that for some people the borrowing route may be ideal for them. I like the fact that should anything happen (eg bad health) then I don't have to worry about extra payments.
  12. I bought a £4500 plus vat chipper about 6 years ago, and it's been one of the most reliable tools i've ever bought.
  13. I'm always busier in winter. If peoples gardens are looking well in summer, they don't tend to want sawdust all over the place, and people trampling across their lawns and borders. Also, birds may be nesting. Lots of people think work is easier when there are no leaves on trees (to me, it does not make a lot of differance)
  14. Hi Chris, I just use Husqvarna 4 stroke engine oil in mine, and have never had any problems. I order my filters through Orange Plant and get them delivered. By the way, have you been on e-bay again?. I saw the re-sprayed one on there.
  15. I remember Dave Bentley (top bloke) I was there 93-95. Did HND. A good course, but even then the college was dated.
  16. I agree. Have used Chris a few times. Competent lad. Would recommend to anyone. Genuine lad, will use Chris again.
  17. I agree with some of what you have said. But I'm sure you have'nt forgotton the fake blood cheating scandel, which dogged Harlequin's a year or two back.
  18. Can't complain too much as I started watching Burnley in the late 1980s when they were a rubbish fourth division team. Nowadays, they are established in the Championship and doing ok really. To be honest Iv'e lost a bit of passion for the game. Most top level players are on too much money, with too little respect for the fans who support their teams. Shame really. Anyway, well done city.
  19. No highs or lows, just an average season for Burnley. Looking forward to a few local derby's next year. Namely, Blackburn and Owen Coyle's Bolton.
  20. I'm with NFU and haved been for about 10 years. Iv'e a 100ft height restriction on my policy, but in's enough for me. It was 10m which I told them is no good. One year it came with an exclusion working near roads, which I told then was no good, It was removed. I will consider changing in the future as it seems that every year they put some thing in the policy that stresses my out. Have my chipper (trailer) insured with them for £100 pound a year which is a bargain. However, like Deans it's classified as a trailer. Agree, a bit dodgy.
  21. I'd be tearing my hair out if I had to use that thing all day. Stress levels would be through the roof just waiting for the brash to go through.
  22. God help us if we embrace the EU. The sooner we are given a referendum the better. The EU has had it's day, it's downhill all the way from here. I'm all for trade links with Europe, but the sooner we abandon this sinking ship, the better. My vote will be for UKIP
  23. I probably work between 30 and 40 hours per week (paid) but then there's the chipper, chainsaws and van etc to potter about with when time permits. I do enough to pay the bills and enough to save for a rainy day. I'm in my early 40's and to be honest, not that ambitious. I'm not saying I love the job, but I don't hate going to work either. Time seems to fly when I'm at work. However, theres more to life than work, especially when it's being raining most of the week. Anyhow, its friday afternoon and I'm going for the usual round of golf.
