    Tree Poets?

Just heard Benjamin Zephaniah making an appeal for this tree charity on BBC radio 4 this eve. He’s one of my favourite poets and a self-confessed tree-hugger. http://internationaltreefoundation.org/ Any Arbtalking poets or lyric writers, woodland wordsmiths or word-lovers with an affinity to trees - do comment on the above and/or share sylvan poetry, or films and music embracing of nurturing or felling, farming, growing, working or wondering, haunting or celebrating woodlands, forests, jungles, copses, gardens and individual trees here if desired?
  3. What are you reading at the moment? Here is mine for a while....
  4. Hi all, I'm wanting to improve my knowledge of tree diseases, particularly the different types of fungi/rot, as I would like to start thinking about doing a bit of surveying in the future. Can anybody recommend any good books on the subject? Thanks,
  5. I brought 'The climbers companion' and its a really good read but it only has climbing techniques. Can anyone help me with any decent books on perhaps chainsaw and cutting techniques side of things...or the tree health, growth and disease side of things...cheers by the way ive looked at modern arboriculture and its too expensive so that's out of the picture
  6. About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
