  4. I love bees, but not when you discover a nest at face level at 12" distance. They were our native black bees as well.
  5. hold your arm at 45 degrees, walk back until the top of the tree is visable by your fingertips, add a couple of feet, and that will be where the tree will fall. (Unless you mess up the hinge)
  6. It that time of year to send in your entries if you are intrested. This year it will be at the Doldowlod estate (middle of Wales), and as it is the 25 annaiversary it is going to held over two days with camping.   15. I sell a green load of round wood in a 12' x 6' trailer for £100. Generally its low quality wood that is a pain to process.

  19. Hawthorn, but i doubt you will get it big enough. I use a hawthorn mallet for laying paving slabs

  23. The water pump takes about half an hour to change, and costs about £35. However if the bolts have rusted in, add another couple of hours.
