    Sycamore very brittle tends to snap off the hinge too easily, so no good when you need the tree to remain attached or to get it to swing/ or move against direction of fell. Ash flexible fibers, so good holding capabilities, but can badgers chair very easily. Extra care needed on leaners. Larch, the itchy tree, i will leave you to find out why. Duglas fir is suseptible to but rot on damp sites, so you need to check the wood in the mouth before starting the back cut, and alter accordingly.

    Water got in 8 months ago and caused everything to burn out/ corode. Samething has happened again hence the new starter moter.

    Ruddy starter moter. It was only re-built 8 months ago, and the ........... ( you may add your own expletive here) coils have burnt out. New one should be here tomorrow if it fits, and if it does not, break out the grinder and massive hammer

    You can only apply for the work you intend to carry out, if the customer changes there mind, then you will have to re-apply.

    Big trees with big wide canopies brilliant, smaller trees i have scared myself on numourous times when is catches and you drop a couple of feet until the cam re-ingagues. I have had mine two years, and i still don't entirely trust it. It is like marmite love it or hate it.

    You are allowed to make a few mistakes on your assessment, so long as you are working in a safe mannor. Your assessor will ask you about it, and what you have done wrong. So long as you can correct your mistakes you will be fine. Treat the whole thing as another lesson. Remember that everybody makes mistakes on there assessment, and your assessor will be aware of this. Just ask him or her how many mistakes they made.

    Can't fault my 13t thor, yet to find anything that it won't split. It would be better/faster if it was run off the PTO with its own hydraulics, but the benefit does not outweigh the additional cost.

    Nettle stings on the effected joints will reduce any swelling. Tried and tested and free.

    I did two miles for tilhill last year, and they wanted it cleared up to 15'.
