  1. Thats going to denend on make and model Nige, eg: a tinnywolf 125 with a 20hp petrol is going to be better on fuel that say a 55hp diesel thats in my greenmech. I do find my Greenmech a bit thirsty on juice but it can knock some brash through in an hour. to run all day i reckon it would use 20 quid or so mybe more.
  2. Nice fix Yorkshireman, you should be an MP. have you got any claims to put in........New saws etc, think your allowed 20k for new saws. What winds me up is that if the tax man finds us mear mortals not quite putting everything through the books were done for fraud and given a hefty bill for back payment, MP's there imune to this....robbin *****, at least dick purpin had the decency to wear a mask.
  3. Do you have to get the 7cm added in the waiste?
  4. Looked a nice steady away job Tim.
  5. Thats just crap, sorry to hear mate, i have had my fair share, now the first thing i do when working away from the truck is to move ALL tools to the work site, was a pain at first but now second nature as i know there are eyes everywhere just waiting to get them.
  6. Thats just crap mate, with all the chipper thefts last year is this a new run of Chucker thefts:scared1:

    Aeroplane

Be a bugger to get off the ground though! Verry cool though
  8. Nice back yard Mick, looks "very natural" Wonder who is going to start the next thread "My back passage"
  9. Think it would be ok for grinding out the ave small domestic conny stumps or as an alternative to an Alpine magnum but for doing anything of a reasonable size you will either be there all day or you will just destroy it.
  10. Just what i said Dean, but you always make it sound soooooo much better:001_tongue:
  11. Same as, if it's that near the house that a pop blocks out the light, fell it and replant further away.
  12. Try Baz at Orange plant near wetherby, there timberwolf dealers.
  13. I would say the buck stops with the owner, simple as that. If you gave advice and they knocked you back cos you were too expensive or they wanted to get quotes and it failed and took someone or thing out i think they might be on a sticky wicket in court.
  14. Never mind Dean, we all know you love helping your lass out, just work round the problem. You can still go shopping, just load the bags back into the trolley and push said trolley to back of car so no carrying then:sneaky2:!......Simple Tell you lass this dean and you WILL be able to go again next week......
  15. Top bit of kit, so simple.but who weares it on there belt like the yanks do then?
  16. would be cheaper to get a gardener to do it because I would have to charge him 3 hours at £60 per hour which I thought was rather expensive for a bit of hedge trimming. He said no thats fine, I've been quote £350 by a "gardener" Christ Dean, 180 quid for a bit of hedge cutting, you must have some rich or daft clients, wouldn't get that round here, would laff at ya then set the dog on ya:scared1:
  17. Don't know about you chaps but i always have problems pricing hedges, whats everyone else do? have you a formular say by the meter or hourly etc. I don't mean 30ft conny's reduced by half, thats easy enough, half day or full day and multiples of, what i mean is the ave domestic conny/privet 6/8ft hedge or does every one take a stab in the dark:scared1: any help would be good.
  18. Sorry to her that Chris, i been done twice and me chipper nicked (got it back after 6 months though) am belled up, loades of locks, steel containers chains round kit and as the last line of defence Dobermaned up.......just waiting for the next hit now, sad to think like that but i know it's only a matter of time.
  19. same here, simple and works well and cheap.......
  20. Nice job there chaps, a did like that.
  21. Never heard of this tactic Dave, but the scum have all sorts of tricks. I would take it as a warning and be carefull.
  22. I think after all these answers from the guys on here your left with 2 choices....... chuck it out or take it to a husky/electrolux dealer, chainsaws are next to the washing machines at currys.......
  23. Yes it's got to, sounds horrible......
  24. I want something thats idiot proof, so I can just send them out to do it. Thats when you will get the stress Dave, when you get other people involved, they just dont work like yourself, cant you get the wife doing something from home? not sure what mind but just a thought.
