  4. You must have a funny bank Dean, mine dont charge me for paying cash in. i would rather have cash as it's cleared straight away, cheque upto 8 days:thumbdown: I get alot of people asking "how much for cash mate" i always have a snigger when i tell them the same price they aggreed on. The VAT thing is 2 sided, some people will use me cos they save a few quid and quite alot ask am i VAT reg, then some like the thought of a bigger firm cos they think there better! buy then i have to pay VAT on stuff and cannot get it back. Been told by a mate who is VAT reg not to get involved just out of simplicity and less hassle. we will see.......
  5. Total fool, but nads as big as melons! the next one will be with a 200T:ohmy:

  9. had quite a bit of chinese kit in the past, still have some now but its crap, and would not have any more. Also it's worthless on the second hand market, better off getting a second hand quality machine IMO.

    Recession?

most of the gen public aint bothered about tickets etc, most dont even know about them! I did a job yesterday and the customer was talking about a friend of hers who got a quote for a large tree removal of a grand, i said must be a big job then, reply was Oh its massive but she got a firm to do it for 200 quid! nearly fell over. Then she said, "do you people do any training or do you just make it up as you go on"! i explained the system and tickets etc and she was amazed. "Oh you do do qualifications in tree cutting then" was one remark. the world is ruled by money until somat goes wrong then were cowboys. Rant over...........
  13. I wouldnt bother either, put it down to bad luck and fit a new set. aint worth the H+S issues
  14. What are you trying to find out Ross

    What a day!

Sorry no pics of the day but i had the honrable Mr Lofthouse climb for me and i was brash bitch. Had dean in as the site was a tricky one with more targets than Afghanistan (well seemed that way) and my groundie is a newbie so didnt want to take the risk as quite a lot was roped out. dean did a top job but half way theough the day we were in the doo doo (cant's say shite any more) but thanks to shyhuck he helped us through:001_tongue: Thanks Dean.

    Recession?

I have been busy for the last two and half months, then went a bit quite a few weeks ago, still got work coming in but am getting undercut more and more, be ok though just trying to get everything i can.
  17. BG86 here, good blower nearly as powerful as the back packs but much more handy, top bit of kit. Same here marc, realy winds me up when someone goes for the blower and theres still crap all over the place:mad1:
  18. Thought you were flogging that?
  19. Jonny, theres a guy on flebay that deals in stick teeth that has been used once. I got some off him for a quid each, a quick do on the grinder and was ready to go. think there about £3.25 each at orange plant. What you on stick teeth with?
  20. Seen one almost the same round me, was shocked but didnt have a camera. looks like lofthouse on tour again:001_tongue:
  21. See Dean Lofthouse, he's a top bod on H+S paperwork, knows all the in's and out's.
  22. You do look at ease though Dean, you have a relaxed but sound grip on the trolley handle and that bent leg sort of lean, me thinks your a pro at this shoppin lark:sneaky2:
  23. The next 222 I had had a 45hp 4 cyl turbo engine and was well on top of its work and very economical with it. I have to agree Nige, that was a good machine with a good engine, it was good on fuel aswell far better than my 55hp greenmech. The isuzu enging in the greenmech seems a stronger unit though, not as highly strung as the turbo unit in the kwik chip, saying that it never let me down, must of had a sympathetic user before me:thumbup:
  24. Cool piece of kit that, i want one too. guess thats not the low kick back model:001_tongue:
