  1. Better off just ringing them, they're pretty good
  2. Try scot Tree Skills | Home | Tree Surgery | Tree Care Training | Kendal, Cumbria, UK | Tree Skills Kendal based
  3. Is the battery fully charged? If so pop the starter off and have it checked, can't remember if it's a plastic gear that strips on them?
  4. How's the chip quality? Just wondering if it could be an anvil issue?
  5. I disagree I've broken quite a few silver line sockets. Always replaced them with a better brand and never snapped one of those, yet.....
  6. I remember that day, had to be careful not to pull the drive up! If there's a few tho so easy with a stump grinder as there's not a lot to them
  7. If you can I always think it's worth using a local supplier. You never know when you need odd things off them so a relationship is worth building. Also worth getting a spare set in my opinion, they won't be expensive if it's just the bearing that presses into the casing. My little carlton is an imperial size, worth bearing in mind when replacing to get the right size.
  8. What size of chipper will you do for this price?
  9. I recognise that ramp:thumbup:
  10. Yer loose the tail lift, also the single cab ones with a tool locker are lighter
  11. Had a problem with one of mine this season for the first time, sat up all winter and would not start. Tried some easy start which it fired on, but wouldn't run, drained and re filled the petrol and ran fine R
  12. Had anybody got a parts diagram for a Honda hrb475 and 476 need a few nightly parts that would be much simpler to order with a part number. Cheers Rob
  13. Yer I'd agree, only problem is that they can easily be destroyed by a bad operator.
  14. Wheely bin, bit each week it will soon go, or give your binmen drink and they'll get rid of it!
  15. I think you've found your problem:thumbup: Im sure grinders have their place for sharpening chains but only if used correctly and appropriately
  16. We all do it, me included but strictly speaking it sounds like wrong tool for the job, you shouldn't be using a chainsaw on the ground above your head for pruning, a pole pruner would be a more suitable tool, or the tree should be climbed, not I know this isn't going to happen, but surely this is the employers take on it?
  17. Make sure you demo it, We had a bandit in for a while and it was utter pants! Most of their gear is awesome but this chipper was pants - sorry not at all helpful I can't remember which model it was. Not sure if it was the machine or the model but you'd notice straight away using it.
  18. Good luck stacking a 7.5t trucks worth of wood! You're a better man than me!
  19. Plus an extra 3hp sounds appealing!
  20. I've had nightmares with mine recently aswell and was wondering the same thing! Let me know how you get on, mind you mines been top end problems :-(
  21. It'll be more of a pleasure chogging down stems now for you that's for sure!
  22. Yer that's why I was interested, in the photos (and real life) it looks like a lot more's come off than actually did.
  23. Sound like you've made the right decision, you can't stick it back on after you've cut it. Recognising your weaknesses usually leads to strengths IMO..
