  3. Had this issue on a 261, got the new bits from Skyland and been fine ever since (I did replace the needle bearing to start with as one of my subbies had a spare and it lasted about 15 minutes) R
  4. I've just brought a 16hp Launtop will see how it goes. I had all the above problems with my honda engine before it seized. That was after the last one snapped the conrod....

  8. Not got the grinder near me, someone seized the engine the other day so looking to replace it. Anyone know off the top of their head what size the shaft is, with 25.4mm or 25.0mm or tapered shaft (pretty sure it's not) Or anyone got an engine for sale....

  13. Definitely the right size chain sorry if that's obvious but a 325 chain will be a different length to a 404

  16. sounds like a job I got sent to for the council, go take this swing down, I've got two hours, went and had a good play on it, then almost forgot to take it down!
  17. Why two reports? Doesn't make sense to me to do this from the start. Two reports could say completely different things, without either being right or wrong, as it will come down to the interpretation of the person writing the report!
  18. IMO opinion if you're climbing you should have a groundy. If you haven't priced for one you're not charging enough. De valuing the industry. Yes I have done the odd job by myself but it's never the right way!
  19. I haven't tried one yet but I will do! My experience with Honda engines has not been good :-(
  20. A few people have changed them to Lifan engines which seem to be fairly cheap. I've got a spare Honda engine but I keep it as a spare as I've had nothing but trouble with them
  21. Loler inspector has no right to destroy or dispose of kit so I'd expect all the kit back with a pass/fail sheet
  22. When I did my course we got given a cd with loads of proformas on for us to use
