  1. Not a sparky so take anything I say as quite possibly nonsense. Two ways I would do it. Either a bigger consumer unit with more breakers in, or add an extra one like many people have to do for a shower. Personally I wouldn't double it up to another circuit as it could cause problems. Think it may also be the case that you need another breaker in the shed/garage for regs compliance. Part P regs mean that work needs to be inspected depending on when it was done....... The colour of your armoured cable is a big giveaway.
  2. That's what worried me when it was first suggested. I'd never do anything (well business wise for a client) that I wasn't happy in my competence to carry out. Seems that there are quite a few people that specialise in doing it though so it looks like it could be a goer - I'm learning all the time! Thanks again for all the advice, much appreciated. Rob
  3. Yep that's always a good plan. I'll give a few of them a call and take it from there. Thanks for all the advice. Hadn't realised how good this forum is Rob
  4. When you say expensive, how much do you reckon roughly. Anybody want a job in the North-West.....
  5. I can't say I have ever seen one of those trucks. Awesome as they are. Seems like an interesting project. Just don't think it would be appropriate to try something for the first time on a client without having a reasonable idea of success. Rob
  6. Hopefully here's a piccy of the trees in question. I've not seen them in 'real life'
  7. Thanks for that. Seems like a bit of a mission! Obviously myerscough have got people there with a lot of knowledge, and aren't afraid to try things. Anybody done it commercially? Rob
  8. I've just been approached for a job that I probably won't be taking...... Has anybody ever moved trees circa 30ft in height around on a new development. Apparently the TPO has suggested this? I think it would be far better to fell the existing trees and replace with trees of the same size grown for the purpose. But it has got me thinking. Obviously it could be done, but the chance of success?? Thanks in advance Rob
