  1. Sort of, I guess I'm wondering from your view how much has come off in size, ie 2 metres, 4 metres and in old money what percentage you would have thought. It can be quite hard to get feedback at times as permission gets given, job gets done, customer is happy (or not) and it gets forgotten about, never really knowing what the tree officer that gave permission thinks of the work if that makes sense? 2. Sorry don't have a link but I'll try and get the number for you, it was a firm that I subbed to
  3. I get what your on about
  4. Just out of interest, what would you have said the target size of reduction was on that Paul? R
  5. You can get batteries now with a false bottom with a tracker in, if its a regular problem could be worth the outlay?
  6. My petzl helmet came with spare sweatband etc for replacement, it's now overdue replacement. I can find replacement ear defenders but not the headband, do they do them, I can find the stein ones? R
  7. If you've got the spare cash go for it. I don't get much work from it but allows me to be a lot more competitive on a dismantle and grind than I would otherwise, but also gives me the flexibility of not having to pick it up and drop it off from hire shops. If you've got the spare cash go for it. They can be a pita though with bearings, engines, teeth, belts etc, make sure you don't price to low!
  8. Did you use the right hydraulic oil? Possibly post in the timberwolf section of the forum so they see this?
  9. I hope it was cheap, could be a can of worms if someone has started something and not finished it properly, you don't know if that setup ever worked, and therefore if its the setup or something gone faulty :-( Good luck!
  10. Gutted for you, can't believe she went bang. Hope you manage to get up and running again asap
  11. Do you guys notice a big difference between finger teeth and green teeth then? Been wondering about changing but not if the difference is tiny

  13. Just a heads up went out grinding today and got back to find unit with hole in the side. Make sure your gears well locked up if your in the area. Luckily nothing taken not sure if I disturbed them or the alarm scared them off. R
  14. Cheers I;ll get that done sunday with all my other paperwork stuff
  15. £30. Incidentally how do I just do a donation to the trust Steve? I've had something off another member who just asked me to give a donation
  16. And me although I'd be cursing it, doesn't sound unreasonable how many trailers have defective lights, brakes, bits missing. I'm no saint when it comes to towing but it might make me more saintly like!
  17. Hi all, So the saga continues, got engine up and running nicely and had about 10 hours use before it stopped, dropped a valve and bent pushrod, but on closer inspection the hole where the valve guide goes in is now oval. I presume this means a new cylinder head? Any ideas as to why this has happened? Anybody got a spare head or indeed engine they want to sell? R
  18. Treble time is standard for out of hours call outs for me now. I used to do it for less but why? I do enjoy them though, I was on call last christmas day and boxing day, no call outs this year I wouldn't be for personal reasons, next year I'd be quite happy to do so again. R
  19. I've always wondered this. I've got a little carlton and always just put them on randomly, anybody know where I can look up the correct configuration, or what works best for otheres?
  20. Quite a few will................. Not saying theyre doing anything wrong and it certainly beats 30 day month end for them if cashflow is an issue
  21. Wow, what a difference! Just remember not to put to much through it at a time or it will block up. Hows the battery holding out? R
  22. Only if you're stood next to a bloke with a moustache, and then the woman at the check in still asks you if you have any of the items on the list with you. Well erm maybe that's why he's stood next to me, to check it in..........
  23. I had one rebuilt by a mobile fella up north cost under 400 all in, would have thought there would be someone similar down south. R
