  1. i like my ISA cert arb and have just got re certified I've been certified for 12 year, i find it motivates me to keep reading and learning to gain my 30 ceus every three year. i find like everything some clients like the fact you are qualified and some don't.
  2. Cheers Paul. I done mine with the red cross but the instructor was a paramedic and military guy, i just assumed you would need some form of experience or medical training to be able to teach First aid. Unless Greg has that but i thought he was an ex climber, more than happy to be proved wrong, saying that its a mute point if you don't need it, so this is a pointless post Paul was that the first post you have replied where you never promoted the AAAC ? your slipping mate
  3. Are arbaid courses certified and approved by a govern body, like the red cross etc?
  4. i have a tp 150 for sale and if you buy it you get a free unimog and hydraulic front winch
  5. Yes one job, it took a morning to build, it now lies in the yard for use on another job one day
  6. i built this for one job where i needed to go across some grass and take the chip away, the gap to get in was too wide for the unimog. worked ok and carried a surprising amount of chip when i had to hand ball it out.
  7. So no one knows why they are shite at holding oil? I assume as landrover owners you just all bend over and constantly buy products that are hardly fit for purpose, seals and gaskets that work for a few months and that's acceptable? You all just put up with it like abused spouses As I said in my first post I'm building a 110 tipper so looks like I will just have to get use to the idea they pish out oil. Pretty disappointed as I thought there would have been someone that knew better aftermarket seals as I'm reconditioning the engine so would have happily used then.
  8. This is not a dig as I'm currently building a 110 tipper but why do landrovers have shite oil holding capabilities? It's a disgrace that they can't use seals that work, I could park my 17 year old hilux over a wedding dress and come back days later knowing it would be fine, it's still on the factory seals!! Do landrover use inferior rubber/ material for there gaskets and seals. Genuinely interested.
  9. Nice one Ian, looks a handy unit. MY u900 is still for sale for anyone that needs a mog. unfortunately my business does not need a mog anymore.
  10. Cash on collection only i would say. Sounds like a scam, I'm surprised in the email they never said they were a royal prince from calcutta who needed the bike to get to the bank then they would pay you a million quid for it….
  11. heres a post looking for hand cutters http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/92786-forestry-hand-cutters.html
  12. Looks very similar to the GTM one, the only concern i have with them ( i looked at the gtm prior to buying a cs100) the exhaust fumes are exiting right into your work area where you are feeding the chipper. Im sure it would be ok but i would throw another grand on your budget and wait for a cs100 to come up second hand.
  13. Making enough money in two days so i don't have to work the next five, thats the reason i do this.
  14. Mine does the same at the petrol spout and seeps oil from the oil spout, total crap, i thought they had made an improvement from the last can they made but this one has its own set of problems, i only bought it as it held the tools in place but I'm back to holding tools while pouring with my old stihl can. I only use forecourt fuel so thats interesting regarding the aspen.
  15. Landmark can't have many trees left Stevie good to see the kit working:thumbup1: Ive no no hinge pictures, my camera has no macro mode for privet hedge stems…..
  16. I lift mine on and off with a swing lift, i used a roller trailer for a while but prefer to put it in the back, If i need to i can fit my grinder alongside it in the tipper bed.
  17. You can see why there is an attraction to it, we make a fortune and only work a few days a week who would not want to do that
  18. hahahaha sorry officer the burglar seems to have fallen down the stairs 6 times then tragically and brutally broke both arms whilst shaving.
  19. Does the tranny have a screw in towing eye? My renault does so all i done was got a large bolt that fitted the thread then welded a plate on it then bolted the tow ball to it, screws out and in whenever i need to use it.
  20. "you have missed the war" i agree mark, an outstanding movie
  21. Will the bearing come out the casing? i know the TP bearings twist then slip out the casing to save you buying the full thing, you just get the actual bearing and that can be sourced from any decent bearing supplier.
  22. I grease the chippers and grinder regular i use one of the sealey guns but there can be a bit of mess if the bearing has any hardened grease or blockages in there as it won't put it in, i keep a manual gun for those occasions, once clear it puts the grease in fast.
