For me there is so much more to being a business owner than the money, I made more money when I worked than I do as a business owner but I hated someone else in charge of my life, I'm more than happy to make a wage and work a couple of days a week when I choose than have money and be miserable.

Get a road roller trailer, they are on ebay regular for £100, the cs100 fits it perfect. i used one for ages.

They could have had a wee chipper took it through the house and left all the chips on site. just because they are cheaper than you does not mean they made no money. As others have said it makes no difference set your rate and you get jobs you get and lose what you lose. Why a van? get an estate diesel car, plenty room to sleep easy to fix cheap to insure, peugeot or vw passat. tint or get a sign company to colour code the windows so no one can see in.

Good looking small grinder that, I always feel 13 hp is never enough to deliver proper grinding power, any I've used in the past seemed underpowered. That looks like it has a heavier cutting wheel, what weight is the cutting wheel ?

If you are going to charge by the hour tell them its a minimum 8 hours. If you don't they may stop you an hour in and hand you £12 !!! £12 is too cheap anyway.

You need to share the van with mark for that part..

you can hot wire the pump solenoid to make sure its opening, it will click and stay open, as there may be a break in the live feed from the ignition to it, so works some times and not others. Is that a kobota engine?

Matty, have a look in the tank to see if there is fuel, do this with a giant flaming torch and if it accidentally catches fire, phone the insurance oh and then the fire brigade:biggrin:

Not my experience, council built them a camp here, they moved in robbing went up they trashed the camp then moved out, robbing went down. Thats a worry tom you have enough on your plate without that
