i have a few pairs of smartwool, a pair of bridgedale and a pair of salomon left/rights that i wear in my chainsaw boots. the salomon are great as they are shaped to the one foot and have an l or an r to show which foot is which (something to do with the seams apparently, not my inability to tell left from right:sneaky2:)

i have the protector pro extreme, good solid boot although a bit too solid when jamming your foot in a crotch.

it looks like access was so bad to the house that they probably couldn't get a crane big enough up to it. Ad it was the joint air transport establishment ( the forerunner of the joint heli force) which i think is based at Raf odiham in hants but has aircrew and ground crew from all three services.
