  6. an old yorkshire pattern billhook is just as good as an axe for splitting pallets for kindling
  7. did a stint as a kitchen porter after leaving houghall college, had its good days but more than outnumbered by the bad ones.

  17. did it say this in a letter of confirmation? if so its probably a pro forma letter for all the courses that they alter for each course and have forgotten to take off the card as the course you are doing is the basic qualification unless they've put you on a refresher course by mistake. get in touch with them and put a rocket under their backsides. Hope this helps.

  21. you could try muc-off which was originally developed for cleaning bicycles and it was shown in an lro a couple of months back so could be worth a shufti.
  22. as a current student on a degree course, the tuition fees for my course are just over 3 grand a year for which i get a loan which i start paying back at a certain level; however the rate of repayment is dependent on salary so if earning the lowest wage you repay the loan at £7.50 a week or the equivalent of a couple of pints. Is this such a huge amount to have to repay? Alright yes it will take a hell of a long time to repay at this rate but you can make a bigger payment at any time as and when funds allow. To me the brainless idiots who were in london don't, or won't understand what the government is proposing.
  23. how about bramble?
