  1. This is a great venture resulting from a sad story. I was alerted to this after my brother-in-law and friend Simon Clough, a tree surgeon and a gentleman died last year having suffered acute heart failure at the age of 28. Christina's story is well worth a read after the loss of her Step-father and friend, a tree man and a gentleman. Please take a look at this extraordinary story. https://www.justgiving.com/Christina-Morgan-windsor/
  2. I do a fair bit of fencing work and to be quite honest I think the BT45 was worth every penny and is infinately better than my makita, especially on hardwood jobs. There's nothing worse than hearing your last battery starting to fade half way through a job. I only use hex bits. As others have suggested, there is no hammer action so you'll only burn out SDS bits.

I figure stihl have invested far more money and time into research than I could ever manage. 25" recommended so 25" it is
  4. Brings back memories; when I did my assessment it was icy and only briefly got above 0, it snowed, it rained, it was gusty and we felled near a train track (suprisingly), but I loved it. one of the most significant days of my working life and the sun came out at the end. For anone reading this thread, the assessors really want to pass every one. You only have to prove your up to it so breath and enjoy
  5. Cheers Rob, thats perfect. Its for my brother and he's in Tydd St Mary so only a few mins up the road. Thanks a lot
  6. Can anyone offer advise on Course providers in the Peterborough/Kings Lynn area, or anywhere else in that region?
  7. Beacons rally Snowdon horseshoe Theres nothing like taking it easy in your spare time
  8. Cheers all, From what I can tell, the static strops seem to be 50" and bungees tend to go up to 58". May be worth trying both.
  9. Cheers Steve. That might simplify things
  10. Hi all, I'm new to climbing and I'm doing CS39 at the end of this month. I need a chainsaw bungee but I'm not sure what length to get:confused1:. I'm 6'3" tall. Any advice would be much appreciated:thumbup:
  11. I like the comfort of the Stein. Mesh visor and Peltor muffs work well
