  1. Would love to build one ,if I had the skills ,Time and money, you could pick up a lwb 4 door barn find and build it for under 10k I recon.
  2. Yeah I remember that ..... My way would of worked if I had not missed a bolt.... Very important that josh !!
  3. Any body have experience with the avant 320 skid steers?
  4. Splitting the crank is the one hey Steve!
  5. Haha possibly so, give us an update in a few months Darrin.
  6. Those winches for them look a great idea as well and take a lot of strain out of milling. Thing I always hated about chainsaw mills was sucking in the exhaust fumes and dust as your right by the power head, band saw milling was a very refreshing change.

I usually ring up FR jones for my spares, last 150 handle I brought off them was about £20 cheaper than one I brought off a local dealer previously as well. 👍
  8. Was reading an interesting thread on tree buzz about how just removing dead wood on pines can make new wind tunnels and cause wind throw and lost branches.... I recently dead wooded one of the bigger Scottys by the house for a Rec climb tree and it was the only one to loose big limbs in the recent storms...I've seen on other pines that have been worked on over the years as well. Maybe thinning/tip reducing them after a dead wooding is not a bad idea.
  9. Didn't look like there was of foliage to begin with.
  10. How big are those Darin? Looks bonsai but fair play for target pruning and nice they didn't just cut them in half.
  11. Nice work,Looking forward to some more.
  12. Happy days tim, short n sweet .
  13. Not really, any of the above as Pick ups are work trucks .....crew cabs may fall in your category's though.
  14. Aye it was a monster tree I saw some pics and the tree report with the picus findings , I was tempted to come down and do it for Fred as he didn't have time to do it and had to sub it out and offered it to me but its a long journey!! , told him to use matey to shift it as Paul always wants the timber if it's beech. I will get on that at some point tm then mate.
  15. Can't wait looks great progress so far, good thing you have some nice beech to bring the auto tune in to check on . Do you want me to order an oem ring for the piston ?
  16. Just done mine last week , don't think it adds to comfort but as long as is does not fall apart any time soon I'm not bothered.
  17. Found a brand new unused sugoi blade on Friday behind the seat... Don't remember buying it so was a result.
  18. [ame] [/ame] Sort of thing I do !! I have started to take photos and write parts down and mount on strips of cardboard and it makes reassembly a breeze.
  19. I have a spare new crank if you need one.... Never had issues with the 560 bearings though , had crank stuffers fall apart and the crank cases leak.
  20. I've changed a couple of sets but never had any fail it was just a precaution thing whilst having the saw split. I see looking inside what you mean now. You can get a new short block from husky for £170 surely a more cost effective way of replacing bearings.
  21. Do you mean the seals?
  22. Crank bearings are all metal though ?
