  1. I'd love the chance to play with one again
  2. Awesome - I went to the U.S. to climb redwoods with the prototypes - amazing memories
  3. There is no UK distributor at this time I would contact Paul Cox directly. Contact - RopeTekRopeTek
  4. Nice vid - enjoyed the music too.
  5. Depends what you. Want it for. I run a 441 mtronic all day in the woods with an 18" on it. Smooth with good anti-vibes, runs faultlessly & well balanced. Heated handles are an absolute joy on cold mornings. When I go climbing I grab the 440 - with an exhaust mod it's a fantastic saw & pulls like a train with a 20" bar on it. I would not like to spend all day ringing up with it though - too harsh on my hands. If it is for primarily ringing up just buy the 461 - it's what it is built for
  6. You are free to travel to any country within the EU & enjoy there health service & benefits system - what the Tories wanted - it's called the common market
  7. Simple & to the point. Just a vain attempt to score points with the "working man" Who will fund the building of the replacement homes? Local authorities, or the housing associations who already had to sell properties at a loss?
  8. As far as I understand, you can choose to wear type A trousers, as opposed to the recommended type C ones. However you must justify your actions. I do this for two reasons. Firstly the lack of range of movement, even with modern fabrics. Secondly the heat issue. I find this a greater hazard than the reduction in saw protection. I justified & recorded my decision.
  9. Looks great Reg - a proper truck.
  10. I think the Sierra Moreno mercantile company distributes them. https://sierramoreno.com/?wpsc-product=h-2-hobbs-lowering-device
  11. 20 years experience of treework, climbing, rigging & cutting All relevant NPTC certs, full 1st aid etc Good positive attitude & work ethic Contact either by PM or email ; [email protected]
  12. If the rope has a knot in it, then that will be the week point - splice Is the way to improve strength. Without a sling, your half hitch will probably reduce rope strength by up to 40%
  13. Wishing you the best in your recovery
  14. That would be great Steve. I cover North Yorks/ Teeside
  15. Sounds like the cord & the line are not compatable - have you tried them together without the HH?
  16. photos courtesy of D Mc over at the tree house.
  17. Hopefully available in the not too distant future
  18. Was there a drain plug in the tank origonally? Might have drilled it & bodged a fix
  19. If you do not require hold from the hinge, you only need enough wood to allow you to complete your bore cut without the tree compressing & trapping your saw.
  20. It's a forestry job - the fact that the landowner does not take a cut would pay for the awkward stuff. Simple maths IMO
  21. They are having the best & you the worst out of the deal. I would explain that the easy stuff pays for the rest, so they have 2 options. Either pay for the works on the reduced contract or let you have the timber as per the origonal spec. I'd be very tempted to walk away & leave them too it.
  22. Good to read you again!
  23. I find side tips are easy & efficient - in many way better - have you ever run one?
