  1. Looks great Reg - a proper truck.
  2. I think the Sierra Moreno mercantile company distributes them. https://sierramoreno.com/?wpsc-product=h-2-hobbs-lowering-device
  3. 20 years experience of treework, climbing, rigging & cutting All relevant NPTC certs, full 1st aid etc Good positive attitude & work ethic Contact either by PM or email ; [email protected]
  4. If the rope has a knot in it, then that will be the week point - splice Is the way to improve strength. Without a sling, your half hitch will probably reduce rope strength by up to 40%
  5. Wishing you the best in your recovery
  6. That would be great Steve. I cover North Yorks/ Teeside
  7. Sounds like the cord & the line are not compatable - have you tried them together without the HH?
  8. photos courtesy of D Mc over at the tree house.
  9. Hopefully available in the not too distant future
  10. Was there a drain plug in the tank origonally? Might have drilled it & bodged a fix
  11. If you do not require hold from the hinge, you only need enough wood to allow you to complete your bore cut without the tree compressing & trapping your saw.
  12. It's a forestry job - the fact that the landowner does not take a cut would pay for the awkward stuff. Simple maths IMO
  13. They are having the best & you the worst out of the deal. I would explain that the easy stuff pays for the rest, so they have 2 options. Either pay for the works on the reduced contract or let you have the timber as per the origonal spec. I'd be very tempted to walk away & leave them too it.
  14. Good to read you again!
  15. I find side tips are easy & efficient - in many way better - have you ever run one?
  16. Remember, when mounting an hiab on a smaller wagon that you can soon exceed your front axle weight. Even if you don't exceed your GVW
  17. Chain tension variation like that is usually an oiling issue. Chain expanding & contracting due to heat build up is my guess
  18. Nice job Simon & some great kit too
  19. I have seen the arrows be incorrect.....
  20. Is the cam in the right way around?
  21. I thought your trailer brakes disengaged going backwards, but the handbrake worked.
  22. Well planned & executed job - some great cutting & rigging
  23. I agree. Good post. Why would anyone NOT supply a piece of life support equipment for inspection? Why would anyone presume a flip line/wire core not suitable for use as primary life support without back-up? There appears to be a lot of confusing information thrown about regarding such simple things at the moment
