  1. Chain tension variation like that is usually an oiling issue. Chain expanding & contracting due to heat build up is my guess
  2. Nice job Simon & some great kit too
  3. I have seen the arrows be incorrect.....
  4. Is the cam in the right way around?
  5. I thought your trailer brakes disengaged going backwards, but the handbrake worked.
  6. Well planned & executed job - some great cutting & rigging
  7. I agree. Good post. Why would anyone NOT supply a piece of life support equipment for inspection? Why would anyone presume a flip line/wire core not suitable for use as primary life support without back-up? There appears to be a lot of confusing information thrown about regarding such simple things at the moment
  8. Quite interesting how personal experiences differ with the same dealers. I have had a few saws brought to me recently from my nearest dealer/servicing agent. New carb is all I hear before I look @ them. The relationship with any dealer is vital, when you run saws to earn your crust
  9. Carrs-billington are not too far away from you & are quite competitive & I have had nothing but positive dealings with them with repairs & servicing
  10. Nice Tom. Is that a Forst you are running?
  11. Does it function with a wirecore?
  12. I recon the guy in the surf shop got a load of Xmas jumpers cheap Interesting vid. I do a lot of natural crotch rigging, in conjunction with a friction device. Yes it is hard on ropes - to the point where I carry a 1/2inch 16 strand climbing line for the purpose - they are quite resilient to the abuse compared to a rigging line. As well easy anchor point change, it also allows me to go a bit bigger on smaller rigging points. The friction being the key as well as the removal of the doubling effect of the pulley. If the tree is to be preserved I also carry a ring to ring friction saver which I guess is the nearest thing to the rigging rings. How does the bend radius compare to a rigging block ? It does not look favourable on large lines for blocking down heavy timber, especially if it has to be caught.
  13. Never seen that done before. Thanks for sharing
  14. The attention to detail & willingness to make that extra effort, is really appreciated.
  15. There is a high output oiler available for the 660 - combined with the factory dual port muffler, it really wakes the saw up
  16. Good job reg. The stem really took off down the hill - looked an awkward fell
  17. Just had some days cancelled so available for work
  18. Great plan well executed !
  19. This guy has a unique HH set-up [ame] [/ame]
  20. Have the issues been recorded in a factual manner by those involved? Structural issues, climatic issues etc been written down & presented professionally to the management? This is what you need to deliver in a tribuneral - not emotion & hearsay
  21. Nice vid - great to see some cutting for a change
  22. Check the anvil also. Is the chip quality & size consistent with sharp blades?
  23. Have you spoken to Leeds council on one of there emergency numbers? They do provide out of hours call centres
