It’s moot point. But what are they actually going to do if you haven’t got a card? Send you back home? Or insert you into the never ending loop of the EHCR legal system?

Ahh, GarethM, glad you are here, apologist for the pedos. When talking about Epstein raping 11, 12, and 13 years olds, just to remind the world of your opinions: "Grow up, you damn well know the difference between underage sex with a child and physical rape"; also GarethM thinking that having sex with a child is different to raping them. Apologist for the paedophiles.

Do it yourself, but very lightly with a flat file, and don’t shorten them as it alters the angle of attack, rendering them useless.

If it has to be Stihl or Husqvarna - my little MS182 hasn't let me down yet, though I tend to go for a battery saw instead for the amount of use that one gets. If I was going for a small petrol saw again I would be looking at the 200 series though just for the slight increase in power.

Danny Thompson legendary bass player and a CV like no other - his stories around the time he toured with John Martyn are superb, founder memebr of Pentangle and played on lots of sessions including Nick Drake and many others. From Kate Bush to Pentangle to T-Rex, the late Danny Thompson’s musical brilliance knew no bounds | Music | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM The bassist, who has died aged 86, was an extraordinary and wildly versatile presence in British music, bringing his personality into everything he played

Turn out your pockets, sonny Jim. This is an EDC thread.

Perhaps if I were a rank amateur I'd go for that size. It's a retrieval ball for an item I haven't owned in years. Can't bring myself to get rid of it. -
Does anyone else feel that Arbtalk has become Political Hate Talk?

I think that horse has already bolted, discussion and debate, great, but this is 99% tedious shit talk by the same members. -
Off to machine show in Newark again, big show with lots to see and plenty of folk to talk too! It rained yesterday so I came away early - taking brolly today! Les, thanks for the kind words, irons in the fire etc...... Yesterday, I really meant household jobs!😂🤣😂 Off to watch rugby at Doncaster tomorrow and was looking forward to beers in the stands but bonus daughter fell of her horse yesterday and broke her ankle! Looking to change tickets to seats now! Ova, Run, Doubt!

This is why forwarders got levelling rams tor the kingpost mount. The slewing is by rams working a rack against a smallish diameter ring gear, poor torque but if it's level and the load in free air no problem. My cranab 4510 exerts a fair slewing force for dragging long lengths but fails if it is not level, even with four 4" rams acting on the ring gear. A digger has a motor with a small gear working on a large diameter ring gear doesn't it? Big mechanical advantage.

Tree in a Conservation Area - development outside
daltontrees replied to Nimby's topic in Trees and the Law
There is nothing specific about this in legislation, and I am not aware of any case law. The LPA has 2 roles. It has to decide if the trees are important enough to be protected, this can be relevant to trees on and off site. If important they should be retained and protected. BS5837 etc blah blah. What is questionable is whether it should be protecting what amounts to encroachment and possible common law nuisance. It also has to decide whether the CA tree is so important for the amenity of the area that it should be TPOd. The reason is that generally a planning application replaces the need for a separate CA notification or TPO application. So it could TPO the tree and prevent any development that would harm it. This could exceed the RPA, which is really just a temporary made up thing that only preserves about 1/4 of the roots. Remember, CAs don't imply the trees are important. It's jsut a precaution to allow the LPA to decide if they are in the context of any threat to their remvoal or harm. -
As GarethM has said, push the lever to the full return position and the lever will remain in that position retract fully and stop, push it part way and when its at the required distance back, let go of the lever and it will stop wherever it is currently. this feature would suit your style of splitting varying lengths

Report back when I've done a few with it. Did have a quick tickle of a conny and it didn't seem too bad, the nob is a quite nice point to grab when adjusting the head.

I noticed myself resting the saw on my right leg while undercutting yesterday, feels completely natural to take the weight off the arms. Was using my Mak 9010 which weighs as much as a small car, only way you can do it really.
