  2. Mike, Well that's her risk to take. Nobody's raping Lena Miculek though. Or any number of capable girls. And it's not just the capable ones that can stop baddies. It's the possibility, for a baddy, that he might run into one of the capable ones. It's a deterrent. There are loads of reported foilings of crimes by armed people. There are many, many more times more crimes that never go beyond the dallying planning stages because of the lingering doubt that the victim might fight back properly. I full well know the current legal landscape. It's wrong. Obviously I want men to be able to arm themselves too but women makes the point better. Any man who thinks self-defence tools should be restricted should look at his wife, his mother, his daughter etc and picture how much of a fight they could put up against four men who want to take turns on her cnt with a knife at her windpipe. And then ask himself if he'd rather they had the chance to shoot first. And it very obviously doesn't have to be South Africa. Is that the only place where a person has the right to not suffer violence? That guy on the train could have been carrying and he might not now be in hospital with knife wounds. Why should heroes like him be treated with contempt? If he'd have even had pepper spray, he'd have been caged for defending people. Have you ever been in a knife fight btw? I nearly have. It was fcking terrifying. I've trained unarmed knife defences with rubber knives. That's fcking terrifying enough. Look at a knife. Picture a man coming at you with it. Picture him pushing it between your ribs. Fcking grim. People need guns. I do anyway. Tell me I shouldn't be allowed them and that I should be unarmed against criminals who care about weapons laws as much as they care about other laws (offences against people, property etc).
  3. I have one on my 500i.. Stihl Full Wrap Handles BELLEBROOKARB.CO.UK Stihl Full Wrap Handles For control and handling I asked my stihl dealer to get one initially. They just said they aren't available in the EU. Which is wank to not supply that for one of the best arb saws available when you can readily get one for a 462.
  4. So am I, more so as I got older and can't see the benefits in automating and mechanising everything. Physically doing things is satisfying and mostly good for the body. AI is good at recognising patterns, in fact a digital computer only compares things, it can't even do binary adding but uses a quirk of ANDing to look like it's adding. I had great hopes of AI when a guy from Logica explained how a computer programmed to be "intelligent" could recognise objects in unfamiliar surroundings and that was in 1987. I had expected an AI triage system at a hospital or GP's; breathe into a machine to analyse metabolites in your breath, similar for blood, urine and faeces and check them for DNA of foreign microbes. After all there are more viruses and bacteria in you than you have cells of your own.
  5. £45 a pair from the one retail outlet I found
  6. At least you have the option of a Bronco without importing one.
  7. Sorry, Doug.
  8. Yes and yes, although the hinge quality on most Ash trees particularly the larger ones are unaffected by Ash dieback. Another tree served notice on by the highways. Set back 5m from the road edge with relatively lol usage and hardly declining. No way did it warrant removal let alone 28 day notice from highways. Very poor judgement. Sadly I was just the hired gun to kill it for another company. I'm awaiting a job direct for myself where I can offer to appeal the notice. Its all to common the highways are serving notice on trees that would be deemed tolerable risk if using QTRA which I know they use. So appealing it should be fairly straight forward.
  9. The chilli plants you mean? I've tried before, indoors on window sills. Managed to keep a couple alive over winter, thinking they'd get a head start and do better than new plants the following spring. They didn't. The new plants quickly overtook them after a couple of months and produced more fruit. I think they really miss sunlight over the winter, as well as the heat.

    Jokes???

  12. I usually go up and get it before descending. Experience has taught me it’s worth the tiny bit of extra effort, to save a lot more effort.
  13. It looks fairly slow operating in the video, only chipping a 2/3'' diameter branch -can you not increase the feed-in speed any more? Also, I thought that the internal grill could be removed, to give a larger chip size? Not too impressed -I guess it's only powered by a 13hp engine tho. 🤷‍♂️
  14. This is the big turntable machine isn’t it? Couple of peeps on here have them. I may be wrong but I heard TW stopped supporting the machine. So you may have to get engineery with spare parts. Got any pictures?
  15. Chicken, bacon, leek, egg pasta covered in a honey and Dijon flavoured white sauce!

  19. FSI Stump Cutters proudly introduces the FSI B23, the successor to the popular FSI B22. Combining familiar design elements from both the FSI B21 and FSI B22, the B23 is engineered for everyday professional work by arborists, landscapers, contractors, and hire companies. With the FSI B23, you get to choose between a 14hp Kohler engine or an 11hp Honda engine, while enjoying the benefits of hydraulic wheel drive. The B23 combines power and user-friendliness with well-known and well-loved design features to make stump grinding easy and efficient. New features of FSI B23: Auto-Sweep Release: Automatically releases the sweep lock when the wheel brakes are applied, allowing you to reposition the machine quickly and safely at the stump. Closed Bearing on Cutterwheel Housing: Pre-greased and sealed from the factory for over 1,000 hours of operation, eliminating daily greasing and reducing maintenance concerns. Safety Bar: Stops the machine when released for increased operator safety. Other new features also include a larger sweep for increased cutting range, recoil start of the engine, and a document tube and hour meter now included as standard. “With FSI B23, we’ve refined what already worked well,” says Launy Luckmann, Development Engineer at FSI. “It’s a compact, reliable machine designed for professionals who want straightforward performance — with the comfort and simplicity that FSI is known for.” The FSI B23 reflects Danish engineering at its best — simple, robust, and made to perform day after day with minimal maintenance.
