  1. Thanks a lot, I will have a look at their website. Would still be interesting to know why Stihl says that only one chain is compatible with this particular chainsaw. Wouldn't it be in Stihl's interest to give their customers a choice (between full and semi chisel)?
  2. I also had a look at Honey Brothers' chain-finder, which too doesn't list any semi chisel chains for the 500i. The only chains listed there are Stihl's RS and Oregon's EXL chains. Any advice? PS: Honey Brothers does sell the following chain (STIHL 20″ RAPID MICRO 1.6MM 3/8″ 0.063 CHAIN)
  3. First of all thanks for all of your replies, I really appreciate it! It's a 20 inch bar and I haven't used it a single time. I haven't even tried to start it to see if it runs.
  4. Stoke Newington to be exact. Why should I write in the listing "listed elsewhere"? And why my phone number in a pic? Have used eBay before, but not a lot.
  5. Thanks again!!! I will try to find out from eBay if they have a way of verifying someone's age. I guess every time anything sharp is being sold via eBay they are facing the same problem.
  6. But a dealer surely isn't allowed to sell it to someone under 18. Even at Tesco they want to see an ID if you buy a kitchen knife.
  7. @Stubby: thanks, but don't I at least have to make sure that they are over 18 (e.g. by asking them for a photo of their driving license or soemthing)?
  8. Thanks for all three replies! In regards to eBay: What would happen if I sold it to someone by accident who has never used a chainsaw before and injures himself. Could I be held liable? I've sold things via eBay before, but never something that could end up hurting someone.
  9. Hello! I have bought a Stihl MS 500i a little over a year ago and just after I bought it I hurt my knee. When I called Stihl directly they told me that if I sold it on eBay the warranty will expire as the machine is registered under my name only. Plus I don't know what would be a fair price to ask for as it won't be under warranty. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated as I simply don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance!
