  2. All the best for the future Pete 👍
  3. I used your guide thanks but the resetting warm was advice I read elsewhere. Anyway, I'm going to remeasure the gaps once I've received the fresh rocker cover rubber seal which leaks a little. Thanks for posting that guide.
  4. That leaking fuel is either the carb needle valve leaking ( most likely) or a severely worn piston skirt on the inlet side causing blowby.
  5. So where’s the AA chap that comes on here now and again? Please explain what you’re on about🤔. Or is it a quote from the real AA - Alcoholics Anonymous? - that would make more sense!

    Clutch spring hack

Back to my 661, the reason I was doing clutch springs is that it's been running on very badly during some HEAVY use recently. Maintaining a really high idle until I slowed the chain on some wood and then blipped the throttle. Should I do the M tronic reset? The rev it for two minutes thing.
  7. I assume these are pier bits? What's the eventual repurposed use?
  8. Today
  9. Old Christmas tree that went a bit mental. Drop zone was main issue on this one, but nothing broken that shouldn't be😁
  10. I tend to agree, whilst the US has picked up the slack and Trump gets slated the fact of the matter is the western NATO countries with the exception of a couple of members have gutted their armed forces to the point that they are virtually useless. The UK in particular has huge problems at the minute, whilst we have politicians grandstanding about “ the coalition of the willing” the reality is we couldn’t even begin to defend our own country never mind venture farther afield. We can’t even stop a few dinghies crossing the channel at the minute.
  11. We have one used it twice the chain is far to aggressive for the size of the machine and the bar length if you don’t hold it tight with both hands it will rip it of your grasp,The stihl gt40 much better to use ,I am a big Milwaukee fan but not of this ,
  12. Hello, would anyone have a Lucas mill they'd be interested in selling? A 10-30 or an 8-30 would be perfect. Nooie
  13. I looked at one of these online, they have a video of it running. It looks painstakingly slow. My CS100 is significantly quicker, but lacks the feed roller and anti stress. I did request a demo, living near Carlisle, nothing came of it though and ai didn't follow up. The GL&D looks a a far better small chipper, also double the price...
  14. They are. They're at the yard but I'll get back to you on Monday about that.
  15. Missed a few days, been in a field in Heacham. This is my 1000th wordle. Wordle 1,519 4/6* 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. Thanks to everyone for all your input- very much appreciated, and thank you to those that messaged privately, either to offer leads or contacts. Cheers!
  17. Its a wind up , godda be !
  18. I know, and they seemed surprised when I told I didn't want to go ahead. Funnily enough a friend took a still in and they did a great job by all accounts!!

  20. its down to the humidity.
  21. Basically it can't comply to the European Normative Standard that splices are tested in accordance with. It might be a different story in other parts of the world. I'm not saying it's unsafe to climb on, it's just difficult to prove that it IS safe. Reach out to the supplier and ask if their splicer has been trained by Courant.
  22. Give them a ring and they have some good relationships with people and they can quite often arrange for you to go and see one nearish you.
  23. I’ve used Ecoplugs on side growths and suckers, and they work well if applied correctly. Drilling at the right angle into the stem and ensuring the plug sits flush is key for effective herbicide delivery. They’re cleaner and more targeted than spray treatments, especially in sensitive areas where drift or overspray could be a problem.
