1997 Ford transit tipper with handy 150 hydraulic crane.manual stabiliser leg. Aluminium tipper body and still has a great legal payload. Adjustable tow bar. 12 months MOT Ive owned it for the last 16 years and has previously been serviced annually with its MOT. Very good tyres. New discs and pads. Cambelt replaced last year. High mileage but drives extremely well. We are taking delivery of a new crane vehicle for firewood delivery and so selling because it has become to old for our fleet although will be sad to see it go. Price is plus VAT

    £3,250

  2. We have an opportunity in our parts department for a new menber of staff. Lots of Unimog parts to sort, new and old also lots of chipper and crane parts. Part time or full time. Good pay for the right person. Call Martyn on 015242 42333 or email [email protected]. Have a look at the kind of equipment we work with; AC Price Engineering Ingleton Cumbria
  3. Long overdue but finally found some motivation to do some editing. Hope you enjoy
  4. How much would a tp400 crane fed chipper be new? I'm just curious about this as I cannot seem to find any prices or guidance on how much they would be on the web.
  5. Morning all, I'm looking to get an alpine tractor and timber trailer to allow us to start extracting from a few small woodland sites in Buckinghamshire. It's all very small scale work (<50t a year) on SSSI sites which means we're limited to low impact kit and access only during dry periods. I'm looking at the AGT850TR and COT30-470 3t timber trailer combination at the moment, from Riko. But I am new to forestry work and was hoping to get some advice! I was thinking of putting 300/65-12 tyres on the trailer along with a crane winch and band tracks as we're on heavy clay and anything to spread the weight will be useful! Anyone's thoughts on this setup would be really appreciated along with anything else to consider. Thanks all!

  9. Hi Everyone Getting a Maxilift 350 crane going on the truck next week, I am looking for any advice on the position to put it. I would like to put it between the tipper deck and the cab but then i wont get much reach with it. I am thinking of putting it at the back of the tipper bed. I understand I would need to have some sort of protection around it for when i want to tip chip/Logs. Has anyone done this before? I wonder if it would be to much hassle tipping. Any advice would be great!! Thanks

    Crane?

Can anybody recommend a truck mounted crane with driver to remove a large Lombardy poplar that has fallen in a moat? Essex/Herts borders.
  11. Another film me and the boys at work shot. Always fun when the machine does the hard graft, and the climber gets to take in the views. hope you enjoy. Dan [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRO6Haibqp8]Double Fir tree removal with the help of a crane - YouTube[/ame]
  12. Hear are some images from my phone from 11 days ago, It’s the takedown of 2 trees & the making safe of 1 tree from the up-stream side of a bridge under repair so they can get equipment in to strengthen it after flood damage. didn’t think to take any photos until after the 1st biggest tree was down, as I had got a new phone with a camera, lol! Image 1: the Unimog U1500 I was operating, the remnants of the ivy covered 1st tree are stacked for loading (left) The chipper is on the bridge in the background ware all chippable wood was dropped/pulled/thrown out of the tree, then the trunks were felled back towards the bank individually then grabbed with the crane before the hinge was cut threw then lifted out. Tree 2 can be seen behind the crane kingpost. Image 2: a composite showing tree 2 (left) & tree 3 right, Tree2 has been dismantled and chippable wood was dropped/pulled/thrown out of the tree as per tree 1, Trunks are ready for lifting out onto the bridge. Image 3 & 4: tree 2 all lifted out. All the brash from tree 3 was stacked near tree 2’s stump then grabbed with the crane and lifted out then placed in front of the Unimog on the bridge orientated for chipping into the back of a 7.5t truck, lower branches that could be reached were directly lifted out. Image 5: an inadvertent before & after of tree 3.
