The auto idle function is brilliant. No need to stock pile, just post it in, and the chipper revs down 20 seconds later. Galvanized chassis as well.

Not sure if this is any help, but the 4510 only came with a choice of 16" (66 links) or 18" (72 links) bars from factory. Both using .325" x 0.50" chain. Efco (emak) part number for the 18" bar is 50230059R, and the 16" bar is 50062014R.

Technically yes I suppose, I’ll have a look later and see how easy getting the top part of the slew off.

I didn't think oregon made a saw that is capable of running a bar longer than 18", most are shorter that that, my understanding is they are just hobby/occasional use saws and not suitable for milling. IMO even if you fitted a longer bar the thing would likely trip out the breaker under such heat/ loading required for milling. they are not made to withstand long periods of sustained loading that milling involves.

Morning all, Got up in good time, came into the kitchen to find copious runny dog poo on the (tiled) floor. Not for the first or second time either now our chocolate lab is getting old, bless her. Still, I’m not up changing nappies at night! Doing a couple of quotes then pottering. Have a good weekend.

I just keep going back to the pfanner nanosheild , although eye watering for a jacket that I usually get full of thorns or put a 395 dog in as I did to a brand new one this week they seem to offer the best in comfort and work best to the layers I use to keep warm or more importantly cool when working , I like the pocket layout and detachable hood too. only Swazi I ever owned I could not wear for work as even in minus conditions it was too warm!

What you describe points right to a failing ignition coil, or maybe the spark plug boot. When you test the lead against the engine block, the spark gap is really small. The weak coil can still manage that.

Thanks for all your opinions. it seems most of the tap root has gone. I can hug the root tendrils at the front. I cn get branch up the inside for quite a way. I am tempted to get it cut to a point that it's safe and not going to kill anyone when it does fall.

The cocoons are very similar, only the caterpillar's differ. I've not witnessed the caterpillar and have only gone on what the customer has detailed. I've ask them to send me photos of the pest in the sporing for a formal iD. My control advise was to remove and destroy, as they could return again, and again, and again. thank you for you communication, it is much appreciated.

I renewed with Trust so they still have my CS38 cert, no further questions. Looking at HSE news roofers keep falling off roofs, but there was a tree bloke recently who fell trying to get down from a stuck mewp so falls from height are a hot topic.
