    Pain

Protein shakes..... One just before work, and one half way through. They cut down my aches when I started on the logs. Something to do with 'hungry' muscles. Normal food and fluids on their own is not enough to keep them fed*. *Wife's a nurse and this is her thoughts / thinking... If I still ache after all this, then I hit the painkillers....
  2. Could do with a similar system for our 3 tonner.... I've seen the simple laser 'sender unit' on a tripod, with the 'receiver' held with a magnet on the dipper arm. Has an audible alarm when you are either in or out of line.... Anyone know how much these systems are??
  3. UK or Euro trawlers?? Out to annoy us due to Brexit??
  4. We need one for the end of our processor... But trying to persuade the boss to get one, is a different matter.... 'I'm' desperate for one. The amount of chaff / waste in the bottom of our drying pens is unreal!!! And this chaff I think, also stops the air flowing through the wood, slowing the drying too....
  5. FFS!!!! What's so sexy about Cheryl Ann - Tweedy - Cole - Fernandez-Versini - 'I like the taste of wedding cake'......????
  6. No butchers like that round here. Driven out years ago now when supermarkets sprang up, and then people not willing to 'shop locally', so down they went....
  7. I'll just keep using the processor or hydraulic splitter...
  8. Why was it being felled in the first place? No one ever mentions it - disease, dangerous etc? Also, for every tree felled, how many are planted to replace it / them...???
  9. It's because they changed the 'recipe'. It wasn't broke, but they decided to fix it anyway....
  10. WD40??? Just read about it on another forum, that it can keep flies off livestock..... Allegedly....
  11. The shuttle bus from the square takes you to the gates. Much better than the tram.... Also, if you have pre booked and pre printed tickets, there's a separate gate. OK, there might be a queue at it but it moves SO much faster than all the other 'pay on entry' gates put together.....
  12. I've just been told over the weekend Ian Bell of Ian Bell Motorcycles (Bedlington, Northumberland), was killed last week there, in a side car accident. His shop's not 10 minutes from me, I bought my last bike off him, but had give it up when the kids (twins), arrived. RIP Ian.....
  13. Never thought of that, with what the weather's doing at the moment.... Is the drainage 'that good'....?
  14. I must be a wimp compared to you lot...!!!! Our new shed (built only in December '15), has a glass smooth concrete floor, and I struggle to push about the 2cm kiln dried ash crates we get in with our pump truck....
  15. About 3 years in to our log business at the farm, and I'm the same... But with the logs....
  16. What about your weight limits etc?? Would you become a VOSA (or whatever they're called now) 'target'???
  17. But then are we not 'possibly' sending them the disease?? Wouldn't kiln drying kill off any disease risk etc?
  18. Did it last year. mega early train from Morpeth, then the shuttle bus from Edinburgh to the show. And vice versa back all in the same day. Killed the OH, as she has Crohns and 'Ankylosing Spondylitis', she (shouldn't) do things like this, but she was determined. But this year, we're taking the caravan to the Edinburgh CC site just north of the show on the Friday, having the day there on the Saturday, and returning home Sunday. More spread out, so it 'should be' easier on her this time....
  19. Who's going this year? I don't go to 'buy', but to enjoy a better 'quality' show....
  20. 'The lady asked, could we do a deal??'...... No one biting..???
  21. Out 'to' - as in full with ash, or to Vietnam to collect and bring back?? I thought K/D'd ash would be too good to be sent abroad from here...???
  22. Got a Stiga 'ParkPro' with an interchangable mulching deck and flail cutter head. Cutting deck does a damn good job I think but doesn't collect the grass.... Got a John Deere with grass box, or you can fit a 'spreader chute' to the end of tunnel that the grass travels up to if you have the box off. Can't remember model though, and never really noticed of it leaves 'stripes'....
  23. Maybe get one of those hook a roon things?? Would want to be trying to drag logs into it by hand all day. I use one to 'assist' the logs onto the conveyor on our Rytec...
