  1. Has this saw still got the compensator carb on it?
  2. The whole right hand side is different, even the crank. Nothing wrong with Husqvarna machines, any make and model can have an occasional problem.
  3. As with all the auto tune saws any reduction in compression greatly effects the running, especially the idle, and starting, the orange frame air filter has done the saws no favors, they may look clean but can be partially blocked which again effects the starting, very aggressive fuel also hardens the the metering diaphragms, which in turn effects the running, the 560 and 562 machines seem to run trouble free now days, so there will be something amiss with this machine, a software update would not hurt, other simple things like fuel tank breather and fuel filter replacement wouldn't hurt, i have seen a few ignition coil issues , but i do not replace them until i have done all the usual checks, i have also seen the earth wire from the coil come loose, this can also give all sorts of problems.
  4. Makes no real sense, if it were any air leak it would be running lean, thus using less fuel, if as you say its using more fuel then its running rich, this would also explain low power. Are we sure the air filter is not blocked, or if these things have a spark arrester, is it part blocked, should have bought a T540.
  5. It fits to the LD brush ( split shaft ) cutter, pretty cumbersome just an added attachment.
  6. Found this in my archive.
  7. A demo on a 440, unbelievable, you people must be very loyal customers to your locale dealers thats all i can think.
  8. The 630 was the Husqvarna 162se, the muffler studs on the early cylinder was m5, the later cylinder is m6 using a stepped stud, so if it was m5 then tap out to m6 and use the later m6 stepped stud, just a thought.
  9. If its the full inertia brake, then there is dirt under the knee link, this is stopping it from going over centre, strip and clean is the way forward, be aware there is a large compression spring under the cover.
  10. Depends on which brake you have, post some pictures, there were a few different brakes.
  11. No not a 268. there was 444FG, 154, 254 and a 162, the Forestry Commission took most of them, another good idea that never caught on, issues with the valve and the pipe filling with carbon, bit like the 262 micro prossesor.
  12. That is the Husqvarna double action felling lever, great tool, i still have one, i also have 254FG, heated hanles and felling cushion, like all things they have there limitations, there was a converted 281xp with a much larger bag for the fire brigade to test,
  13. Crank retail £126.90 + vat Gasket set £10.74 + vat Bearings and seals come with the crank
  14. Magnesium, only the 560 has aluminium on the drive side.
  15. The mark 11 550xp is so different to the mark 1 i don't know where to start the brief was reduce engine temperature and increase engine life, the crankcase is no longer painted so doesn't look like death after a week or two from the paint falling off, they run much nicer too.
  16. They were always magnesium Stubby, the 560 gained an aluminum half, the 550 gained a new carb the AT12 with a metal metering diaphragm, this was to give better acceleration and get rid of the flat spot, the fuel hose was also moved further away from the rear of the cylinder and a slot in the top cover all to reduce temperature, the ring peg pin has moved a few times due to them coming loose ( also on the 560 ), improved main bearing cage material, an additional screw in the crankcase, improved sprocket and bearing, new orange frame filter 25 micron.
  17. I will check it out in the morning, they were available in Jonsered and Partner different colours, however the later support post and clamps would fit.
  18. I agree 18" would be best, a 20 absolute maximum, turn oil pump to maximum, check AV rubbers as they will be quite soft or broken on an old saw, there is a hard version AV rubber if you use longer bars, the vibration however will increase with these rubbers.
  19. The cover has been strengthened due to breakages.
  20. Still being tested i am told, possibly end of next year, they are keeping it very quite.
  21. Latest orange frame filter is down to 25 micron, this has replaced the yellow frame filter, the black frame filter is classed as a winter filter, I have seen issues with the orange filter, it is so fine that even when it looks clean it can part part blocked, this causes auto tune to lean off and start to affect starting and running.
  22. Yes warranty, but is this ongoing? It really is a poor design, it's almost like the built the saw and suddenly thought hell we forgot about a pump, let's just shove it here. I see all sorts Steve, like to keep an eye on the opposition.
  23. Worked on a Stihl 161T battery saw today, not oiling, oil pump buried inside the the machine, drive gear consists of a ribbed band around the motor, this is supposed to be bonded to the motor, however it has fallen off so no pump drive, advised its not available as a spare part, you have to buy a complete motor, awful design, and expensive to repair, saw two months old, at least Husqvarna has a decent oil pump.
  24. K760 does not really suffer with much as long as it is mechanically sound ( not had concrete dust through it ) i would say the carb is flooding, if this is the case it would be a new carb, once they start to leak the needle seat will be worn and cannot be cured, do check the fuel filter in the tank as well.
  25. I have an Air arms TX200 under lever, nice solid built gun.
