  1. Chipper chain is what came after scratcher chain which had lots of teeth both sides of the links and cut more like a conventional saw with a set to create the kerf. I've been reading my history lessons, I bet it was a bitch to sharpen.
  2. Isn't all chain chipper chain now? It just means the chain has a depth gauge (the raker) which is standard to all the chain I've bought cheap or otherwise.
  3. Alder has little cone like fruiting bodies. Sent from my BNTV600 using Arbtalk mobile app

    560xpg vs 6100

Send him a PM to tell him someone thinks Dolmar is better than Husqvarna or wait till he posts or you are as bad as him
  5. Oleo Mac, Emac, Efco and Dynamac all come under the same banner I think. Some parts in the Granit catalogue look similar, it's just something I found online never used them but it may be useful.
  6. That's the forecast from last year, they really got it nailed didn't they ?
  7. On a knot free stick preferably
  8. I've got the 135 which is the same engine size runing 3/8" chain on a 14" bar and it doesn't struggle on anything I've cut including oak, you must be leaning hard on it. Friend of mine has a 435 and he says his has adjustable oil pump.
  9. E models have easy tension but it's no advantage. 435 and 440 are both 40.9cc the 440 has flip caps now and seems a bit more industrial than the 435. 435 is like a deluxe 135 using .325 chain instead of 3/8" and with adjustable oil pump which 135 doesn't have.
  10. Made my sides Hake reading it again. It Haddock kind of nostalgic touch.
  11. AC start capacitors should not be polarity sensitive, were the wires off because someone had swapped the motor ? I got a pressure washer out of the skip at the bike shop and fitted a new capacitor and ran it for another 3 years till the pump packed up.
  12. Bowler is only about 12 miles from here and I've only ever seen one, a Wildcat on a trailer.
  13. Will it need colouring in when it weathers, it would be a shame for it to disappear. I like the tortoises on your website.
  14. If you put "ox truck" in the search it will find it for you. Or just click the link
  15. There's a 5.30 a.m. as well ? I thought they did away with that when I retired.
  16. About 04.00 this morning we had thunder but no rain, that came later about 07.00 but didn't last long.
  17. When I worked on the schools grass cutting and pitch marking in the 70s we got years like this. Policy then was to stop cutting in September but we had to carry on till November then we were stopped by the wet ground not the lack of growth as it was marking the fields with cutting them.
  18. Weld the axle to the barrow.
  19. My wife was reading something about it and said there had been a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry. Sad news, best wishes and condolences to his family and friends.
  20. They'll be your lucky Airstreams in future then
  21. Is that the one that smells like a toilet door made out of fish boxes ? Just been back for a look, it made my sides Hake
  22. 24th September weekend, we've been for the last few years and enjoyed the walk round.
  23. I carry my lucky earth cable in case I get struck by lightning, you never know.
  24. He suffers from CDO, it's like OCD but the letters are in the correct alphabetical order
  25. Good on you love, get it out in the open to clear up any confusion ( for Stubby mostly ) He might have the bits already if he tinkers and could fit them to a bitsa saw. The 375XP is still listed for sale but I can't see XPG models anywhere. World of power Buxton has them on list but none actually for sale.
