  1. Turn it over with your electric drill before you spend any money on it if you suspect it is no good.
  2. You nicked his punchline, you is a bad man

    Fake or not?

It could have been dropped and had some new or aftermarket plastics fitted, plenty of options on parts. If it looks a bit suspect and is too cheap there's always the option to pass it up but it's always tempting if you think something is a bargain.
  4. It sucks the fuel mix into the crankcase on the up stroke and it enters the cylinder through the transfer ports. If you want to see into the cylinder you need to take the exhaust off.

    Fake or not?

It looks genuine. The fakes get the choke lever and on/off switch wrong and that one has the proper ones.
  6. I will be having a ride out to Northern Arb for a couple of chains as soon as I have shaken this stinking cold off but I put a new Stihl chain on my 036 a while back and found this did the same as you are saying there. I just stopped the saw and pulled it out of the cut backwards then started again I think I was just being over enthusiastic. Back to the Lem Sip now
  7. That was surreal.
  8. You can buy scaffold debris netting cheap enough to make screens. We got loads from ebay for £20 delivered.
  9. You do realise it's Sunday and nobody has anything better to do. I have a stinking cold, snotty nose and no dog to entertain me. The bacon is for breakfast tomorrow so just had tea and a scone. Idle banter is fine, much better than going outside and getting wet. Carry on Harves, wherever you are. (It's just cold and grey here, no wind or rain)
  10. You could give him a hand instead of watching as well
  11. I'll second the Codling moth diagnosis. We have a couple of small eating apple trees on the back garden and this year they have been ravaged with the little blighters. They are tiny, about 6mm long with a grub like body and black head. I'm getting a couple of pheromone traps for next year.
  12. They are governed to the sweet spot aren't they ?
  13. I would have been alright walking behind the mower after three weeks but lifting it in and out of a van would have been a different matter. I would say 5 weeks was when I was getting back to normal, just the odd pulling sensation but now I am back to normal at about 10 weeks. I'm 64 and was putting up with it for the last 9 years because I got fed up of hospital when I had bladder cancer but like you it got too painful just a dull ache most of the time and was causing other problems (urinary ) One side done(the most painful one) and now so much better. You'll know when you feel up to doing a bit, don't get impatient and undo the good work the surgeon puts in. Sorry for the derail as well but it's good to get these things sorted. Back to the original post Buy the saw and have fun with it on your Logosol.
  14. I was black and blue for about 5 weeks but I was able to function normally but nothing too strenuous. About 10 weeks and I am up to previous capacity now. I did not have key hole, that is supposed to be quicker recovery. I'm booked in to have another one done at the end of February by the same surgeon, he stitches nicely so I only have a thin scar. It's not something I am looking forward to but once it's done I will be a lot happier and more comfortable. Mine is inguinal hernia are yours same ?
  15. I'm retired and only cut firewood but I do like to go to the local exhibition every year. I had just had a hernia operation when we went this year so I was not at my best I didn't even attempt the 088 they had there
  16. I picked a 661 up at the last exhibition we went to. I put it down again quick it was heavy
  17. He who laughs last didn't get the joke when the others did Tell them to p1$$ off and grow up.
  18. En route, is that like on root ? Are you getting the really big dictionary to beat Stubby round the head ?
  19. I think they lose their memory and forget what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to keep hot things hot and cold things cold but how do they know which to do ?
  20. The secret with the pouring lid is to open it before you screw the lid on then close it once it's tightened and turn the flask over to get rid of the drips. If the lid is sealed when you tighten it the rubber is turned and twists off or rips, ours did it till we realised what happens.
  21. Open the L screw up a bit and speed the tickover till it moves the chain then back it off till it stops moving. Mine was set weak and you had to fast idle it every time but it's good now.
  22. Give the primer bulb plenty of pump for the first start. Pull the choke out and lift up and pull till it coughs then push the lever down to the fast run and pull it over again [ame] [/ame]
  23. Could be anybody
  24. It makes me want to taste it Reminds me of hundreds and thousands sprinkles.
  25. Not relevant to the original post but we found a Laurel growing between the slabs in our garden with no idea where it came from, birds spreading seed probably. It was in full leaf about a foot tall and I just pulled it out but the roots came with it so I stuck it in a pot of soil and it grew on quite happily. It gets watered when it rains and when anyone thinks about it otherwise it is ignored. I thought Laurel was a Hardy perennial ! Sorry, I'll get my coat.
