  3. Why do you all say beech just fire wood when butterfly spalted beech tables or just spalted beech coffee tables are just stunning I am always after spalted beech send some my way Cheers Mark
  4. just had another look on ebay so there is another cheep one with an flexible extension for £26 ish or the makita one for £90 and a seckond hand one not sure what make for £40 its a no brainer the makita one if you have the money if not the cheep one who knows the cheep one may go on for yrs do let us know what you go for and what it is like I am at the moment looking for an orbital sander and cant decide what to go for I dont want to spend too much as they dont seem to last more than 18 months 2yrs Cheers Mark

  6. Hi just looked at that ebay grinder its about the same size as my dremel ok for tiny work but i doubt very much that it would replace a die grinder it always pays to buy good quality tools every time Cheers mark

Hi All I was at a local fair yesterday so van is full of carvings etc my jack and breaker bar are in the step for side door that does not work under loads of stuff my next door neighbour gives me a knock flat back tyer lends me a jack no wheel brace so how to crack wheel nuts I think I know I will put a spanner on it and belt it with lump hammer (not a good plan) I hit said spanner it bounces off wheel nut stright up catching me on forhead talk about seeing stars woulnt do that again just thaught I would share my stupidity with you all so you can laugh at my expence Cheers Mark

  10. Hi guys HA my girlfriend makes stained glass give me a few weeks and I will post pics of my glass river table we also have a welder in our workshop so a metal frame will not be a prob watch this space as they say but very nice table looks stunning

  14. Hi Ian am I right in thinking that was done with a router if so did you use it free hand if you did cool using routers free hand is hard work ,nice piece of work have you thaught about maybee putting some colour in it ? nice work Cheers Mark

  16. YEAH same as you all makita and an old B+D be lost without them but never heard about attatchments for them only wider ends for the makita as it comes with a 9mm and you can get a 13mm end bloody expensive though Cheers Mark

Hi guys I have had a few goes at a chain made a very small one first just to see how it all worked you have to start with a + shape that runs down the log hard to meet up all the cuts in all the vids ive seen they dont show much of that bit planning on having another go soon good luck if you try it Cheers Mark

Hi Bofh I am just in the process of doing what you want to do a few of us managed to rent an old farm building and yard ,I do Chainsaw carving / milling and make just about anything the customer wants we also have a stained glass artist (my girlfriend) and a welder so we can do all sorts of stuff sharing the rent means we get more space cheeper so if you can find some other like minded people the skys the limit but its f*****g hard work 7 days a week since last agust but people are slowly starting to know we are there and work is coming in you are more than welcome to come and see what we have going on if you are i north dorset just ring me 07449 736569 .Good luck GO FOR IT if you dont you may well end up thinking what if and that is no way to go you cant live a life of what ifs Cheers Mark
