  1. As part of my CS30 1-2 course we made pixie stools as a means of learning to control the saw. This vid is really good but the robotic arm does not shake like mine....its similar to those they use to build cars, rotating head etc like to see the program for it as I worked for IBM for 15yrs as an Engineer in a past life.
  2. My van is silver/grey just like a submarine, just as well really, dropped the Mrs off at work in Brighton and gone back home, tomorrow looks a better day..... Only managed to work 3 hrs so far this week!
  3. How lovely Paul, looks like a set off Heartbeat. I on the other end of the country was looking at Brighton Beach, no one on there , funny for August....Marina and Pier, the grey thing middle right!
  4. So long as theres no foliage at the base of the stems, I spray with Roundup, will take a pic tomorrow (Wed 26-8-15) of the hedge I planted earlier this year, I sprayed with and without tree/rabbit guards.
  5. I use the A27/A23 every day, just finished a job on Sat 1pm and was coming South on the A23 at Hassocks Hill doing about 70mph when a Disco Ambulance followed by a Volvo estate Ambulance went passed us at such speed must have been over 100mph off to Shoreham I guess. All traffic stopped on the A23 so I diverted via Haywards Heath only to find myself 2 wheel up on the kerb as a "Fire Bus" 52 seather coach, never seen one of those before ... came through. Thoughs as always to families and service personnel.
  6. Best excuse I have heard to stay in the pub Paul....dry and very humid here in Sussex guess its coming our way later today (Sunday)
  7. Lovely to see kids having fun in safe hands.
  8. At least this is not another "guess what happened to me thread" I think the only answer is as you say to take up the floor and see whats going on, ruling out burst pipe , natural movement, it is an old property with cellars etc. I have 2 estates with 1800 period properties, wells in the cellars, all sorts of things going on underground. Another house had to have 19 tress felled round it as it was going down like the Titanic at one end, guests complained of toilet doors coming open whilst "on the throne" . Hope it all turns out ok and you get some work out of it, even for being sympathetic to their problem.
  9. Yes they are owned now by Hitachi, maybe a good thing, I too have used Tanaka hedge trimmers over the yrs and can't fault them, lovely sound too.
  10. As my user name suggests I work mainly on the ground! small site clearance to let builders put a new roof on the garage.
  11. Thanks for that, did not fancy felling it
  12. Pardon my ignorance on this subject: And will it harm the tree which seems to be ok, huge canopy
  13. Glad to see someone over 50 is still alive......this post been a bit quiet lately
  14. Someone on here may remember (like I do) in 1971 petrol was 4 gallons for a £1. Champion spark plugs 4 for £1 at Halfords, had to be the last best offer of last Centuary. Morrisons Eastbourne Diesel £1.07 for the truck Texaco Horsham £1.16 for the tools
  15. Left Eastbourne in a rainstorm, lots of lakes round roundabouts, arrived Horsham was dry for 1/2 hr then started there so came home through torrential rain on A23, floods near Brighton nightmare! Ah well tomorrow is another day.
  16. Charts only started in Nov 1952 I was born in April. Played all of the above birth date records whilst a DJ 74-94 Am I feeling old ...never cough splutter
  17. I have also been looking at this KM94, was put off by the smaller cc as really wanted something 30cc ish, don't really need the fine speed control. May have to upgrade to it when my KM56 packs up, getting a bit tired after 4yrs daily use. Just a note about your other post HDAV regarding the KM56 oil in air filter, mine has started doing the same thing! Still runs all day though, air filters not cheap at about £7 but I put a new one on.
  18. I either chip mine across the woodland floor or chip into a bit pile to extract at a later date
  19. Well I have gone and done it lol ordered a 14"" from Rob, have a terrible Hawtorn to trim, untoched for many yrs 12ft tall about 100ft long. Did the one opposite last week was ok with a normal trimmer , looked at this the one across the road and tried to hurry up and get away before the owner caught me....wasn't quick enough. so will get back with pics and report in a week or so.
  20. Someone on here is bound to know but if no luck try the Chainsaw Collectors Forum Chain Saw Collectors Corner Home
  21. This is red thread
  22. I have seen a pic like this on a leaflet the Council Tree Officers hand out warning people about over pruning! As bad as this willow reduction someone did.
  23. I did wonder about using a ring on the chipper as a sort of anti theft device, well at least stop people who tow caravans (with a 50mm ball) driving off with it.
  24. It would be easier to find the Holy Grail than the perfect Arb Truck, Lord knows we have all tried. My money if I had any is still on an RB44 or a Mog.
  25. Branston beans here as well, I find they have less after effects
