  1. Been interesting reading this post, bad news for the Groundie. Some interesting bad work/health n safety practices. If you train your staff to work to your principles things might improve for everyone. I am now working alone (horray I hear you say) but happy to work with others. I have been down the route of me in a pickup and 2 lads in a tranny tipper, also worked in a team of 5 restoring a listed garden for a couple of years so been exposed to most of the above problems. Things like food wrappers in the chip and the accursed mobile phone wern't around when I started. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. My Daughter and Husband run a photo safari company in Botswana, they have about 9 LC on the fleet 1X300tdi and 1X109 V8 petrol. They buy in the LC off people leaving the country and totally renovate them. It's a totally different thing out there where your life can depend on your vehicle. We went 8 miles off the tarmac road to look for Flamingoes, Meerekats, you can do that knowing you going to get back. So over here in the UK an excellant vehicle. 5. This reminds me of something, soil liquefaction. Usually as a result of earthquakes! Have a look on another example I just saw on YouTube " extreme soil liquifaction" crazy stuff but the log thumb on the digger looks nice. Sorry to be no help, looks like your going to have to explore. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. It was the blackcurrant now I look at the label, redcurrants are up the other end! No probs VI nice to know that anyway. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. First weekend of half term, I know lots on here have lost equipment, myself included but this makes me mad, also having to explain the loss to SWMBO wasn't easy. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. After yes of spraying using a Bastion, very nice gauge and extended Lance £90 ouch Cooper Pegler various. I am now using a Handy £15 cheep and chips 👍 Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app

  11. Powers Sharp haven't received a good review on hear although I have one on a saw for logs. Don't let it touch the ground, nails or stock fences as it rips the cutters off! Easy to sharpen when your doing a load of logs though. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. For anyone near East Sussex happy to recommend Seaford Windscreens excellent job, cup of tea was nice too ☺ Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. I have been watching your storms on lightningstrikes. org look pretty bad also some around Birmingham and in Scotland Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. I use a junior hacksaw, you only nly need to trim about 5mm off the plastic outer casing, basically up to the label , have had a couple of units label in same place! One in pic is 2011, lasted about 4 yes, internal gears strip in the end but at approx £74, I consider them consumable. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Arbtalk mobile app

  16. I use an Expandit for small hedges and topping a Florabest long reach, part of an electric split shaft system for the big stuff. All will fit the Stihl engines and the carbon fibre extension shaft. I trim a bit off the article outer casing on the Expandit to make it locate in the Stihl connecting sleeve. On the Florabest I just remove the Stihl connecting sleeve and use the Florabest one complete If I could work out how to post pictures on my new phone it would help, phone and PC currently refusing to talk to each other. . 17. Oh and it also fits my Lidl sharpener, don't know about Granberg
  18. I have an Oregon on the bar sharpener, came with a 404 disc
  19. I had 2 trucks on any driver policy, when I queried the renewal price as it seemed a bit steep as not claimed I was told any driver is calculated on a 17yr old with a drink driving conviction! Changed it to any driver over 25 which cut the premium in half. That's why you see a lot of the job adds saying over 25.
  20. I use a Stihl KM56 with an Expandit attachment about £290 all in
  21. Luckily this is on a static site. Starter Motor failed, well it is 20yrs old! Took it to a local place in Crawley who sent it to be refurbed in Billingshurst, don't know where. Did an amazing job was covered in black paint and a lot of rust before now nice and shiny 😃
  22. I used to use Timbrel but I just checked the Pitch care website and have found like a lot it has been withdrawn by HSE! They are reccomend in SBK which you can get in B&Q (other stores are available) I have only used SBK on Ivy with good effect. More research is needed!
  23. You can tell I am just a poor gardener, my latest is a KM56 with a Florabest (Lidl) long reach split shaft off the Electric hedge trimmer £69 Inc electric engine instead of £255 for just the Stihl attachment. You do need to use the Florabest connector though.
