  1. Yes basically, I too had a Ryobi, engine died so bought a KM56, strimmer, please ok if you have a hedge trimmer you need to trim 1/4 - 1/2 inch off the tube tco make it locate deep in the KM connector. As the Ryobi attachments wore out I replaced them with genuine Stihl but at least got some use out of them.

  12. Sorry to hear about your Father, Stubby. I have mother in law living with us the last 8 yrs she's 96, doing ok till 2nd week of Jan, fell and broke her top right arm. I can't imagine what we would do if she broke a leg/hip. Luckily wife retired in December but still means we have to wash, dress, help with toilet, not helped by the fact we have a downstairs bathroom. I fitted a second bannister rail on the stairs and all the disabled bars from the Screwfix catalogue in the bathroom. Borrowed a commode for the bedroom off a nice lady on "Streetlife" a neighbourhood help scheme. Do contact the "Adult Health Team" at your council, there is also one inside the Hospital they can advise on a care package, help for dad and for you, do be careful if the hospital prescribe Codine Pain Pills for your dad (Co-Codimol) as MIL had hallucinations, mice running round the room, I had to rescue her from the wardrobe 3 times in one night while she was "talking to a little girl". Glad to say she's off those meds and life is getting back to normal what ever than is. Currently we have regular trips to the fracture clinic, blood tests and all that stuff. Anyway all the best to you both and if I can help with any more info do PM me S.G.
  13. Thanks for the replies Yes I found the bleed screw, if the filter goes inside the sediment bowl, well there wasn't one, just the retaining ring, O ring and the clear plastic bowl, have to look into that! On a good note Chipper worked fine all day afterwards.

  15. Over the last 2 weeks of cold weather my Jensen Chipper with 35hp Kubota engine has started to run down then speed back up to normal. After reading some of the posts about condensation and goo in the fuel tanks (this stands out in a wood with a tarpaulin over it) I decided to drop the sediment bowl to see what was going on. Sediment bowl had a small amount of dirt in the bottom so cleaned it out and refitted it, my questions are: 1) Is is normal for the fuel only to be drawn from the tank into the bowel with the engine turning over, I had expected to turn on the fuel tap once again, fill the bowl and start the engine. Only a small amount of fuel filled the bowl with each engine revoultion, almost flattened the battery before it finally started. 2) Should I have bled the air out of the system or are these self priming like a lot of cars now? Thanks for your input S.G.
