  1. its a percetage of what is owed. mine was for 5k £100 for putting in coutrs hands £40 to have it read by a judge and papers sent to other party. then was £350 to have it go to court to be heard as other side contested. i won and got what was owed well i made a mistake on the forms so got 2.5k plus costs. i just asked for cost of engine instead of breaking it down. so if you go on county courts website it will give you what it costs you then apply by paying the fee. you then need to fill out the forms so not just what is owed interest on overdue acount phone calls letters and your time dealing with it but needs breaking down so it cna be seen what you are asking for. if you just ask for £200 then thats all you will get so put down what it has cost you to take to court. draw back is if they have nowt and in debt then will be a struggle getting money from them you could have them agree to pay so much a month but they would have to do a income and expences sheet if therre income is less than what is owed then may be a dead duck. only other way id employed at the last stage can get a attachment of earnings put on so it takes from there wages at a set amount. good luck
  2. +1 scags very good mowers well built. or toro. do a very good cut and no mess. if i was spending that sort of money i would go toro as have one and it cuts a dream and like a bigger one for bigger areas. husky not comercial. and ferris not impresed.

  4. its knocking on doors i do work for parish councils. but all the grass contracts signed and given out for year best time is november ready for the next year but parishes normaly award it for 3 years. and can if happy with contractor and price has not gone up extend it. as for larger firms its asking if they need any sub contractors. and getting in even if its one job foots in door and may bring more in. but not easy.

  11. used a grinder in past to do them but find a dremmel with a stone on is ideal as small so can do faces without taken it off machine also flat chainsaw file does a good job. a sharp cutter work so much better than a dulled encrusted one it slides easy. i also spray mine with gt85 to lubricate the blades and when finished cutting wipe blades off with a cloth and spray again so it stays clean.
  12. i am left handed and getting on annd can not sharpen them on ground. looking at getting a small vice with a clamp on to bolt to tail gate of pick up. can do both sides ok find doing if saw is facing right looking at it easier than doing the left hand side
  13. i have a husky 576xp with semi chisel on as not a fan of full chisel. and been cutting dead elm oak and it cuts a dream. and keeps its edge if you do not get near ground. have to have a good hold of saw as its cuts fast. when i have used full chisel which was on the old farm boss saws it would like to kick back. but maybe it was me not used to using saws back in the dark ages.

  16. that is one big rock. how they will move that need explosives to blow it up to move it in smaller bits if it would blow up looks granite so be hard as nails. after seeing first one that came down you think something would have been done to stabilise the ground above or move house.
  17. cut the hazel in a block rotation cutting a acre down at a time. if you have a lot. and cover with brash to stop rabbits and dear munching on new shoots. will be ready to coppice again in 7 years. but if you cut the stools then cut lot down and sort out what you need to use. if no use for it then contact local coppice group see if any member would like to coppice to get materals out. i coppice nad if you do it in blocks it lets light in so the rest of the fauna has a chance to flourish.
  18. buy some 90 to 120cm native hedge and plant give it 3 years and will be of a standard to lay with rest of hedge. gap gone. have a job to do same thing due to wet ground some plants have failed rest of hedge is 6ft tall so will plant with larger hedgeing plants leave then lay the lot. milltree farms winchester or murrey mcclean abingdon best places for native hedging and of a quality will not fail.
  19. forest and arb do a very good pair of steps wide at bottom with lugs to dig in i hate going off tera firma but on there steps i will go to the top with a hedge cutter and cut top of hedges. so safe worth the money.
