  1. if it can be shown that the fuel oil mix you are using is correct and its ok and you can get a independand dealer to look at it and give their opion. and it was not due to you or your fuel then you have a case that it is faulty goods. and they are under law have to do the 3 things i said they have to. how do you know there was a fault when made and by using it made it worse. its cost you good money why have to spend more when it could be exchanged for a new machine. get hold of consumers direct and ask them. i took a truck dealer who sold me a truck with a faulty engine done by the manafactor they refused to do anything took them to court and won cost them a new engine plus all my cost so not out of pocket. do not give up fight them suprising when consumers direct get involed things change
  2. frome market store sheep will be being sold at mo. keep them for winter sell them in spring. make a bit out of it
  3. 4 months old and it fails and dealer says its wrong mix. have they had the fuel tested. and do they have the report to back there findings that it was your fault. i would go back to the dealer and ask this if they canhave a report. if not then under the sale of goods act 1979 para 14 th goods are not fit for the job. ask that they repair saw free of charge. replace saw, or refund your money. if they refuse all these options. then have the saw checked by a independent schain saw repairer. have the fuel checked. and if the fuel is ok. take them to the small claims court. if you have the evidence that it was not the fuel or your misuse of the saw they will have to reimburse you in full plus costs and a loss of pay going to court plus getting the reports done. i know you can get it fixed but why pay out for a new saw to be repaired if no fault of yours.

  6. if you have dry kindling and get the fire going it will boil 5 cups of water in just over a min very quick pine cones, oldmans beard, shavings, so i would say if you get fire going in first two mins 5 max hot water.
  7. qestion was advised by Ea yesterday moving some conifer that i needed a waste transfer licence to move and had to go to a registered tip. but when at tip guy said that as of febuary wood chip will be classed as waste and a waste transer ticket will be required to carry it £150 a year. also leaves collected from pavments are classed as toxic waste andhas to be disposed of at a registered tip that can take hazerdous waste. is this true or is it a load of cobblers on both counts. be interested in the facts

  9. i found it will not sharpen pico chains. but themn maybe its not made to do them. so i am a plonker for trying. but for bigger chains makes a good job. just do it light so as other posts does not blue the teeth. but have a son in law who now sharpens all my saws for me. and they all cut a dream and done by hand. so its in shed redundent.

  13. i do enjoy swamp loggers when they have cut all the timber out is it replanted or does it self seed. if they keep cutting it and its not replanted ore regrows be no timber left be interested to know. like the guys who get the sunken logs prices it fetches 2k for a log.
  14. i posted on this as a new thread as did not know this thread was running. what i saw on youtube the tree was ok by reports given just needed prunning. a old grandmother of trees felled due to over zelous HS staff in the NT who have not a clueon trees as other posts a fence could have been put around it so no public got injured. i trust now its to late that the NT will replanr with a new tree to live 200 years plus shame on the NT

  19. just a tip if you have some free time go around the pubs with some nice dry wood see if you can get some orders from them. take some kindling with you. i started with taken 2 bags of kindling to a pub i now deliver 2 cube a month to them. plus kindling and all year. so its worrth just going around. plus get into one and word spreads and locals then ask for wood. as other posts got to sell a lot to make good money but as a start if it buys a weeks shopping its worth it

  22. to late now but could have fixed the engine was it seized or jammed up. my db jammed up i took top off put a mix of derv and oil down bores left it then turned it by hand it freed up and went a treat. if it seized can get the bits for them just need the engine block oversizing then new pistons bomp proof nearly db,s and gearbox could have been sorted try and get it back cheaper to repair than replace. any classic will fetch 2k plus.
  23. very good i think better than the kelly. but the bit for cooking on top next to us as other posts rors like a lion or hardly any heat. i wait untill water has boiled then cook on base. but dorset has te bees knes a stainless steel washing machine drum works a treat. or saw at a show a swedish candle with a ifference hole in side and cut in top light in hole and burns through lasted all day and hot
