if its for doing logs and do not want to spend husky or sthil prices but just as good. efco, oleo mac same machine dolmar and a coppicer i know has just got a new saw half the price of the husky 2 year garentee wrote this and now forgot its name its a jap machine and red and black. he uses them all the time and his last one lasted 2 years 3 days before going bang so got his money back

whats wrong with thorn i love laying it goes down nice find it better than other stuff, eg hazel,maple,spindleberry,wayfarthing. and with the new gloves i have no problem grabbing it. makes one of the nicest hedges thorn. comes back nice and thick. bring it on. thanks digga for showing them to me and rover for saying again how good they are

i said i can not do it before next april at the earliest. alpine sounds interesting i could come in from main wood just take fence down hope it will go down slope ok as main railway line is a stones throw away. will look into alpine route does anyone hire them. i see scrub clearance around with a big flail on front. may have a job geetting something like that in. and dragging timber out once again take it up to main wood then cut it up.thanks for advice. i bet once he sees price for job it will go nowhere. like to have a go as different to normal job.

well they turned up today and took them out as clearing brambles i was grabbing the bramble as if it was hazel did not feel a thing. need to get them broken in as tight but these compared to welding gloves no contest. worth every penny. just need to put the arm part from welding gloves on them as cuffs are short. thanks rover and digga should have got them when i tried yours digga. maybe not have got bitten so much if i had them. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

just seen post and kArl is a good cutter one of the best as for qualifications as other posts the only acreditation is NHLS but havee to been laying hedges for a while before you can apply as for 5 days will learn the basics plus get confident. but see if you can find a local cutter to you who will let you help out to gain experiance -
been and had a look at a job which has loads of saplings and budlia out of control plus normal trees the owner wants it cleared. now the good bit the only acsess is a small track from the woods into the pit. yes its a old chalk pit with sides 50ft tall all around apart from this litle track which is steep going down. will take aages with clearing saw also can not burn brash as under aproach path to airport so burning it is out. also there is standing wood which is ok for firewood but once again getting it out have a large oak at top of pit and there is some trees any idears how to get the timber out and money is tigth so can not spend loads on special kit. i wonder if the job is worth doing and forget it. any advice apreciated

the ram looks like it needs a service now you have it out worth getting it refurbed. that may be why it struggles lifting rams tired

re double cabs getting tools in back a strimmer will not go in rake,shovel etc do pain i can not get strimmer in have to put it over front passenger seat. strugle with long handle hedge trimmer.

brings back memories of the storm that hit lymington that was flood water with a high tide spring and a force 9 westerly it came over the sea walls 5ft deep lifeboat had to be deflated to get it out. it then went on rescue going half up lymington high street. a lt of people lost a lot in that storm and took nearly a year to get back to normal. and seeing pictures tonight of poor peoples houses just going into sea. bet no insurance. poor people no house and poss no insurance to get a new place.not good you stay safe all you RNLI these storm surges are not nice can not see whats under the water

well i posted that i would get a pair and as rover siad do serious hedge work welding gloves gone in a week as i have found out now on a long hedge so early xmas present on way 2 pairs of rieper gloves now only £21 a pair so rover has got us discount as selling more thanks rover. i will let you know how i get on when they have arrived. as for arb shop asked local shop about stocking them not that interested loosing a sale so you arb shops on this site start stocking them there is a lot buying them got to be 15 pairs already just in this post Eastern i use welding gloves and as rover said worn out in a week have 3 pairs in truck with stitching gone. so i am converted to the glove

the swedish log sounds a good idear once thats going good for a brew cook some lunch and a warm up when needed need to get some fresh fir. all the stuff i have is old and dry and going in wood burner

you have had some winds it blew but not to that extent nearest i saw to something blowing over was a bit of hedge icut out went blowing across field. but cold in wind glad of rusky hat to keep bonce warm.

father in law had dolmar in the day and it was the saw to have german built rugged. then along came sthil husqvarna and they fell out of favour as the other two easy to get the dolmar i would say would give those two a run for there money and be a better saw shame there are not more arb dealers selling them. only one i have been told of is in west sussex. which is a trip to see one hence sthil and husky win as so many selling them.

have the ghillie kettle think its better than the kelly as it has a metal cap with wistle in to let you know its boiling plus lets off excess steam so unlike the kelly it can not blow hot water all over place just whistles. good bit of kit need to get a store of dry fir cones in to get it going or old mans beard

rid of moles childrens windmill put on end of a metal rod stick in ground no more moles hate the vibration. and you have nice windmills in garden.

i was with aliance and leicester ok then taken over by abby biggest bunch on nunucks. then santander as for them not printable. still trying to sort out things with them going back to A&L days. never bank with them. but then most of the big ones are as bad. wish there was a bank that looked after its customers. with small amounts. have mils will drool all over you -

on planting 5 per mtr is better for when it needs laying in 12 years time. and staggard planting a boot apart plus it helps if you get plants die off
