  1. Mentioned in the Collins field guide.
  2. That is humour at the highest level, literally
  3. I dont think you can go too far wrong with a husky balance, very comfy. I find The protos is more comfortable though alot more dosh.
  4. The village idiot may now be immune to badger attack, but he may not be to jon's badger spit.
  5. There is a huge one at Stourhead, though i think that one may be a leyland c..
  6. Sounds like you may have had a lucky escape.
  7. Jon will be wearing a pink carnation for you haha. Gonna buy a saw head for my poles from the AUS stand if they are there. You gonna be there on friday jon?
  8. Haha Get anything at the farm sale mate? Have a good b'day buddy.
  9. I dont think you will notice any difference at all.
  10. I would Go for the 395 as you will get alot more use from it. Unless you are doing loads of really big stuff, you will not need a larger saw. The 395 is so much more comfortable to use than the 120 or 880. I have an 880 and wish i got a 395. Also the 395 is awesome.
  11. That does not look like any 254xp i have seen.
  12. Thank you fagus, i will have a look.
  13. Do you get male and female magnolia? A customer has bought 2, 1 has flowered and 1 has not. Is now soon enough after flowering to prune? Thanks in advance.
  14. I used a monkey winch years ago, very, very powerful. It did not have a reverse on it so imagine you could get yourself in trouble. I got a little 1.5 ton tirfor now and it is ace. Like Mark says, i would not want to cart a heavier one around. A mate has 3 ton one and it is very heavy.
  15. Talking of gradients, i used to have an old e plate (1986ish) landy mewp and u could set that up on some stupidly steep gradients. Probably not do it now, little older and wiser.
  16. Love it, thats hillarious. Gotta love the dolly:thumbup:
  17. Chap i work with got the new arbortech boots, says they are really comfy. Had the older style ones before but stitching came out after only 6 months. Fair play, arbortech did replace them, eventually!. These have the spike grip in the bottom and wears spikes over the top. One bolt and you can take them off Joe. To be honest, it normaly come undone and lost within first couple of months.
  18. That is a fair old lump jonny. What will the crane lift?
  19. Is that Charlie? Sorry to hear that mate, bloody thieving scum. Hope your insurance works out all ok, sure no probs. Hows you and new (not so new now) job going mate, steadied the ship out?
  20. I dont think you will get much work with a cs100, you can hire that size chipper from alot of places for not too much. I think you would do alot better with a 6" or more and chip truck.
