    I want to buy my daughter a new laptop for Chrimble . Potentially for her going to uni . My son has been to uni and said get one the same as his .     I have always used the example Steve posted . The 60cc divided by 3 = bar length in inches 18" . As Steve says its a guide . It kinda suggests what the compromise is between balance and efficiency . Of course you could put a a 24" bar on a 30cc saw and if you were gentle it would cut albeit slowly . It would not be efficient though .
