  8. Years ago I bought a relatively cheap Chinese splitter . ( had to assemble it myself ) Modded it for road tow . Thought this will do me for a bit and it is still going stromg all these years later .

  23. I take your point but it was not dug , it was a natural pond to begin with .
  24. I think , on occasion , that nature can be a bad manager . I am talking in terms of a " wild " pond . I have spent many an hour digging out the silt and cutting back the reeds on a neglected pond to promote duck life . The building of a nesting island in the center . If left to nature it would have silted right up and be covered with reeds and end up with no pond and no ducks ducks .
